Title: Just Wanted to know...
Post by: Cyanist on April 17, 2005, 03:05:22 am
Ok ive been around since Planeshift MB but unfortunately i was not able to continue playing because i do not have the patience for new-beta games because of the constant bugs that keep you from playing, and also my PC sucked... now i got a GOOD pc and i was wondering how Planeshift has progressed?  Is it worth the download now?  How about the NPC interactions?  Are they more stable now?  Before i could barely interact, has that changed?

It depends on what you\'re looking for.

In my opinion, no it\'s not worth the trouble of downloading/installing/constantly updating.  But I have an incredibly short attention span...so eh.

Well, I too have been around since MB.  But due to my work, and school and other commitments I simply do not have the time to commit myself fully to testing.  I do enjoy logging in from time to time, however I too have discovered that the NPC interface still, for lack of a better terms sucks.  I wish they had drop down text menus, or find someway for the NPC\'s to actually being able to under stand simple questions.  This of course would take an enourmous feat in programming, and take away from the devs developing the rest of the PS world.  I hope, and am sure they will work on the NPC issue mnore in the future.

Worth downloading? Depends on what you\'re expecting to get. If you\'re looking for a game, then don\'t download this, because PS isn\'t a game - it\'s a \"PleaseReadOneOfTheMillionOtherPostsDescribingExactlyWhatStagePlaneShiftIsInAtThisPointInDevelopment\".

NPC interactions have always been stable. They\'re still as hard to figure out, but there has never been any problems with stability. And if you can\'t interact with them, maybe they don\'t want to interact at all.

Though I have not been able to play recently I really believe it is worth it.  Some of the so called \'bugs\' are amazing and I will rue the day that they have left this world.  New experiences happening every day that any sane (or in my case insane) would want to be part of.  This is the time to be alive (in PS)!

Summed up in a short thingy:
A million times better than MB, still not near what we are waiting for.
