Title: Dealing with Grief(ers)

A couple of interesting, though lopsided reports on how game companies are dealing with griefers. I can\'t stand the constant EQ praise since that game was, for me, nothing but grief. However, the articles do make some good points that, I think could be applied here in one way or another.

P.S. Not to say that there is a huge problem, just that some of the novices and semi-common players are becoming snobish and it should be kept in check from this early point.

in my opinion or in my \"internet life thingo\" this is the internets only flaw.

im sick of the loosers that play counterstrike and other games.

here a scenario.

player:\"damnit i keep getting headshotted\"

other: \"stfu noob\"

player:\"**** up idiot\" (or something along these lines)

other:\"omfg your a looser with no life blah blah blah\"

they are just bitch bloodthirsty kids.

dont try and gt angry just tell em to grow some pubes.

Indeed, it is annoying the amount of stupidity that seems to go along with CS. Even my relatively mature friends who play seem to devolve into six year olds when they play. It\'s rather sad. I play, but there are few who can keep their head in that game.

FPS games in general are not entertaining to me anymore. Especially in multiplayer mode, it\'s just i don\'t know boring, pointless. Cold. If i want pure andrenalin game, i\'ll play a fighting game...king of fighters series is my fav. ....off topic stops here

Xpytz: loved the articles, i kind of thought that griefers are the neccesary evil of MMO\'s but it\'s nice to see developers are looking at that problem rather seriously, nevermind their motives.

I play CS legit, but if there is a hacker, or some retarded kid that wont stop team killing or something of that nature.  I always have my hacks injected. >:)

I am 15, and no doubt you find this immature. but its the only way I deal with things like these.

Plus i get enjoyment out it.   There can be nice hackers

oh, btw. i never have and never will hack an RPG, its just pointless, not to mention I dont know as much about how they work, and would be hard pressed to make anything usefull.     as for CS, ive made some of my hacks. simple wallhacks, and a vector aimbot :D

The worst are these damn 10 year old life-less kids on Warcraft 3 that always make fun of everyone and start cussing at everyone because they won... Wow, some people really need to go out and get some lives...
