I hope this isn\'t asking too much but I\'m rather curious as to what is in the focus of development right now. I\'m sure others are curious as well. Do you think it\'d be possible to hear a little about what\'s in the works?

Of course it isn\'t asking too much...
Coders are working on:
- the Inventory window, picking up items, equipping swords, that sort of thing.
-the Maya model converter which takes Maya files and converts them for use with Crystal Space.
-Character appearance customization screen (choose your face, hair, etc.)
3d/2d guys are working on Kran and Dermorian models, lots of weapons and objects, and the interiors of several buidings.
Rules team is working on the combat, magic and progression systems.
We\'re making good progress, but there is a lot to it.

Im working on a village now...not sure if it will go in the game though ...
but i have the layout and the concept drawings done as well as all the textures for it finished

As far as I know his status would be developer or something if he was more then just a moderator, correct me if i\'m wrong here

Ill be posting pics sometime in the next 2 weeks...
The problem is I like to do details then continue on further parts of map... most level designers go the other way around ...basics first then touch it up.

as far as i know vengeance is a coder(although maybe somethin else i think he said he did that though), something i cant do at all :D
he just took on the job as moderator because SOMEONE needed to do it.....
and moderator is a superior title not the other way around

venge is in engine coding i think, thats why he knows so much about programming :P
im (unofficially, just for fun) making a klyro\'s model(ive been doing this for roughly 8 monthes now, its nice looking, texture sucks tho;) ) maybe ill post it some day, unfortunitally it will never make it to the game, im no dev

Yes, I am a member of the C++ engine team. I coded a lot of the networking, almost all the database, chatting, buddy lists, guild commands, dice rolling, and so forth. Right now I am splitting time between the combat engine and the Maya file converter.
No, I don\'t know why a \"moderator\" is only 4 stars and a dev team member is 6.
Now ask me if I care how many stars I have, tcd.. ;-)

heh, if he is moderator AND coder I think he deserves 6 stars instead of 4 ;)

i was just wondering if anyone knew the estimated time left befor the new update will be ready, patients never has been one of my favorite virtues. Vengeance does deserver more stars than 4, i mean i have 5 stars now and ive only been here a while, i just dont have a life ;(

i think if u keep in mind that the alpha game will be released in 2 months you are on the right direction (i hope). And if its here even sooner, wel...then thats great news for us all :)

Who remembers the name of the dev thread where they posted a daily journal of the things that they coded or they worked on for that day or week?
I can\'t remember it, could a dev check on that because I thought that was a really helpful thread.
maybe a dev will start up another thread like that?

As we get very close to release of Molecular Blue, we can do that. For now, the modelers are furiously modeling, the 2d people are working on alternate textures for our player models, and the Settings team is working on the dialogs spoken by NPCs.
The coding team is still working on inventory/equipping, day/night lighting, rain cycles, character customization window. After those, there are only a few more things to do and we\'ll be ready.
