Title: Online Planeshift Bestiary - Please Contribute
Post by: Gentar on April 30, 2005, 08:04:34 pm
I thought that everyone would enjoy and appreciate an online bestiary for the creatures of Planeshift. So, i would like to create a list of all of the creatures, along with a description, a screenshot, possibly some concept sketches of the creatures. Also, where the creature is located could be added, unless you all feel that it should be up to the individual, to find it himself. I would like to ask you all as players to contribute to it on this same thread if you\'re up to the challenge. Anyone is welcome to contribute.

Here is al list of the creatures I\'ve discovered so far, and i\'ll try to start creating the bestiary soon. Also if there are more monsters, that youve found please post them.

Carakas
Rogue
Rat
Gobble
Clacker
Consumer
Grendol
Fanatic
Gladiator
Mercenary
Thug
Brigand
Bandit
Tefusang
Trepor
Ubernaut

Why not?

The only lower race I know something of are gobbles.

Gobble:

Gobbles are primitive humanoids being as high as elves, though they seems small, because of are ducked most of the time. They have black skin and often absorb a strong smell, because most of them life in the sewers. Most of them are agressive, but there are some who aint and it turned out that they have some native language. When feeling hemmed they attack you with both their claws and their teeth.

Due to some problems with mutation several gobbles have been seen on hydlaa plaza riding (!) rats.

Goobles, Cyl? Never heard of them. Maybe you mean Gobbles? :)

This is a nice idea, Gentar. As long as you don\'t have plans to include location guides, stats, drops etc. :)

I don\'t like bein able to find out stuff about what\'s inside the game, it spoils the fun of finding out and speculating :(

I believe all bestiaries and similiar texts should be wrote if someone wants to, but websites arent very good place for them. As soon as we will have working book system in ps, all these texts should be  put in ingame books and deleted from websites.
Just my opinion

Yes Nikodemus, i thought the same thing. It would be great if perhaps, we could buy or check out the ingame book from the jayoss\'s library. Sadly, its not up to me to develop an ingame bestairy so...

So far I\'ve traveled around taking screenshots and copying the descriptions of the majority of the beasts so hopefully ill have alot of it done soon, (depending on my amount of free time)

Thanks for your interset everybody

If you\'re writing all your own content and taking your own screenshots, why not put the bestiary on the PlaneShift Wikipedia Page?

Well Wikipedia is an encyclopedia anyone can edit.  Just hit edit page to edit any page.  Then click \'edit help\' to see how it works.  Preview your changes before you save them.

Also, you should create a wikipedia account so that you can see all your own changes.
