I think we\'re all too lazy to answer you.

In other words, the magic system is not fully developed yet. The rules team is still working on it to make it a good working, decent system.
-
...or in other words get off your lazy but and find it X(
-
I ain\'t no rules :D
-
jeez...crazy people :D .......they have a sorta description thing when your creating your character i think, i never downloaded new version so maybe not, but ya their there or were
-
Yep, just right-click on something while char creating to have its description.
-
May be just me, but brown magic could have something related to nature...or coffes.
-
My best guess is that brown magic is earth magic. Ground is brown.. hmm.. only a guess though.

While I didn?t want to answer this post mainly due to the tone of the question, I?ll answer cause I?m bored, and because I feel people might want to know where we are in all this. Plus I have some questions. And so I?ll post a poll to see what you all think.
There are six Magic Ways.
Red
Brown
Blue
Azure
Crystal
Dark
Currently these are
Red = fire
Brown = earth
Blue = water
Azure = air
Crystal = Life
Dark = death
I am in the process of seeing if this can be changed a bit, making Dark a bit friendlier and making Crystal a bit less nice?in short making all magic neutral.
Glyphs.
Currently glyphs and combinations of glyphs are what grant you spells.
This too I am seeing if it can be changed, and if so in what way.
My current plan makes magic pretty complex and perhaps could be a bit daunting to new players. On the flip side it would be one of the most customizable spell systems I have seen for any game system (short of paper and pencil meta game systems)
The real trick as with any magic system is balance and fairness. I will probably avoid many spell types that are common place in many MMORPGs, while including many things that are not common at this point in many MMORPGs.

How about letting players choose their preference in the magic area (red, brown,...) or they can avoid picking it at all. Spells can then be obtained by buying them from npcs or some may require a gem per casting. This is much less confusing than mixing glyphs... unless you can re-cast the spells using the same glyphs, and they don\'t get used up.
