Title: Spies, Thieves and Cutthroats: I need you now!
Post by: buddha on May 05, 2005, 05:17:32 pm
The Beggars has a long-term project starting.  We need the services of the several flexible people.  Please find Mulla Nasrudin either in Hydlaa Plaza (usually behind the tavern) or through the guild newletter at

http://www.geocities.com/kingofthebeggars/beggars_guild_home.html

(email me there or PM me here)

This project will be of great future value, but is only to be discussed in private.  More importantly, it is an effort that will last beyond the wipe and certainly benefit your future career.

EDIT: Joining the project does not neccesitate joining The Beggars.

You\'re advertising for a guild/organization/whatever.
We have a forum for that.

*Moved*

By the way, I don\'t think your project is very well hidden, now that you\'ve shared the names of the contact people, and pretty much all it\'s about. Great job.

I am not advertising for a guild, Pancake Head.  I am starting a project.  And my operations are still quite secret.  What is public is the fact that I *have* an operation...

No, there is a big difference. He\'s requesting people to join him in a project (the group of people joining him will most likely disperse once the project is complete). Think of it more as a \"Help Wanted\" ad. Though his guild may be running the project, the project itself is not an advertisement for the guild. I don\'t know whether that means he had the wrong forum or not, but I do know that this wasn\'t guild advertisement.

You\'re correct.  There are indeed projects that are acted out by networks of multiple guilds and freelancers.

I concur, there really is no set forum for \'player projects\'.
Zan\'s Festival was in GD.  My election was thrust into RP (well, part of it was already there, but that was only the part that belonged in there). And Buddha\'s beggars have been banished to the guilds forum.

I don\'t see how we can come together when we are cast appart. At least in the eyes of the community.

I would see what your Beggars is about, but getting the word out for the election is taking a good amount of my time. I think \"The Sheeples\" may have had a similar mission. ;)

Necroposting is one thing, content less necroposting another thing.

If a thread is older then a few months, and you dont have any worthy to say keep it low.

This thread and \"guild\" are both dead. As Cyl mentioned and as you can read from the Forum Rules, reviving threads with no useful information is a no-no.
