Title: No ping to updater

I\'m sure this  has been asked  before . so forgive me for asking.   I got the client fine and installed it fine. I can\'t seem to conect to the updater.  It keep saying its not up. (with picture)  I tried pinging  the server also.  

I do have a firewall set up  on my computer  but it always pops up with a message like allow this conection .....

shut your firewall down if it works look for the 2 or 3 port you have to open in the forum or FAQ or anywhere else I don\'t remember which ports are used...

I think that I am going to have to wait for the summer. I am on a school proxy now, and it wont work at all. There is no way that I can get the computer tech at my school to open the ports (it  is at college btw). I am going home in a couple weeks though, so I\'ll see yall on then! :)
