Title: sound in linux

I currently have planeshift running form the installer, and I have previously built it from CVS, and in neither case could I get the sound to work.  Is it OSS?  cause if it is, I know that my problem is that I don\'t know how to get my OSS emulation working.  If this is the case, I will post no further here on this matter, at least until I get that emulation working.
