Yes. depends. There is a spell power bar BUT! Read below

The more the bar the powerfull but there is less chance it will work out

The less the bar the weaker But it works out alot more!

Magic is pretty good, but it is pretty expensive to buy one glyph, let alone a few to make better spells.  Not to mention the amount of training that it takes.  I don\'t really mind the training being expensive, that makes sense, but the glyphs are a little too costly for what you get magic-wise.

Be aware that the magic system is falwed and young now, so glyphs suck and you get nothing back
for the moment i recommend fighting, as you deal a lot of damage, and it will be deleted after the wipe anyways.

It\'s not about what\'s \"better\" or what \"deals the more damage.\"

It\'s about where you want your character to go ingame and what you want her to be. This is a role-playing game, after all.

I think magic suck\'s it is expensive and don\'t make a lot of damage normal fighting do 3 times as much damage and you don\'t need a expensive glyph to use it.

That would be a bug which should be reported in the right place.

karakth is absulutely right.  The same should also go with the weapon you use.  You should not get a weapon based on strength but based upon the needs of your character and what your char plans to use it for.  Also if you feel like it you can add your char\'s personality into the equation.

If everyone choose on damage or strength the fun would be gone and it would no longer be an RPG.

Actually more than anything this is a tech demo.  You should make what you like and then try to objectively discuss the strengths and weaknesses in the character you made.  Roleplaying the character will let you have a little more fun while alfa testing the program.  You should expect to have powerfull characters \"nerfed\" and weak ones given new powers.

You should also be aware that developers whish this to be a game more RP oriented than some of the main stream games.  What that means in the long term is anyones guess.
