Down the road in planshift, when new people start coming and joining the Guilds, how do you think they will feel about not knowing the whole history. Them coming in and not having experienced the origins of all the things that define guilds, like the conflicts, alliances, references, etc. Do you think they will feel left out? Like if someone tells a joke refering to an old forum post and some of the members laugh, and the others just kind of sit there not knowing what to say. Do you think this might lead to complications of future members not fitting in entirely to the guild. Just some thoughts i had :D
-
im completly sure what your saying but, is that not the same as every guild in any other game?
and one of the ways to get rid of that is to write a history on your guild (or organization :D ) such as i am doing for the bism, and i think alucard said he is doing one for hellsing
other guild are doing this too i think
as for me, the way it works is when something significant occurs, i write it down in a story, rpgish style, like when important member join, i right them into the story
-
hehe that story idea is really cool, when the game gets into development you could post it...The Ballad of BISM!
-
Yeah, as Kiern has pointed out, i am writing a story about my guild. It will start about like a basic introduction of my character, and will progress to include the first 10 members, as well as all the great quests we have undertaken, and Guild wars we have been in. It is really time consuming, time that i do not have much of, plus it\'s really long, and lots of things must be included to make it a trully great story. I only got part one down, but you are welcome to read it. It is up on the site, Under the \"About Section\"
-
read it, very interesting, this is acctually the first time ive ever heard of something like this, i think its very creative :D
-
Its a great way to get people interested in your guild/organization if your good at writiing stories
Although, as alucard said, it is time consuming and im probably not going to release anything more for a long time (i wrote history of bism #1 and #2 a long time ago and posted them on the rp boards) but when i do, there is gonna be a lot of it
