Title: black screen and only the cursor :(

Hi planeshift team....!....
i really want to play this game, but when i load it, everythin is fine, but when it starts loading the world.... it says \"LOADING GUI\", and than it does as if it loads but it\'s just stuck with a black screen and i can only see my cursor :( please help me....:((((

BTW, i write music on the computer, and i whould like to help the planeshift music world...

Sounds like a not enough RAM issue; at least I had similar effects on my old computer when it only had 196 MB. It might also be that you don\'t have the most recent graphics / directX versions.

Also, it could be the darkness bug that some are experiencing, but IIRC the menus would be there in that case.

Thanks for the advice..... but  i still don\'t know what\'s wrong... :(  i\'m working on a p4 2.4ghz with 512 RAM.... and i have intel extreme graphics (latest driver), and the directx 9.0c...

do you have any more suggestions for me?

i played with the graphics card a bit and it works ... except a little thing.... all the labels on people and npc\'s are white.... and i don\'t know what they mean...... do you have any suggestions maybe?

This probably sounds fairly stupid, but try to hold in shift and move the mouse up.  When I have something like this it\'s because it\'s zoomed out.  Holding shift and moving the mouse up zooms in.
