Title: CP points help

I\'m new to the game and i\'m trying to create a character, only once i\'ve gone through all the characteristics screens, it tells me that either:
A). If i have zero CP left or more, then it says i am not allowed that many CP, and
B). If i have a minus value, it says i cannot do that!

What do i do? and just what are CP?
HELP!!!

Also note that the CP system is still buggy and not 100% functional just yet.  I spent 3 hours and trying to add and delete things to see what worked and what doesn\'t, but it\'s really almost a matter of luck.  Just try to really stick to the basics, and the nifty \'Prev\' button works wonders when trying it out.

Also to answer common following questions:
Rats are the only place to get loot which are in the sewers which are located behind some houses.  If you spend 5 or 10min searching, you\'ll find it.
