Title: Axe Skill - Gained randomly

Searched for anything similar, didn\'t find anything at all.

Well, just a few minutes ago, I (as Uloim Oakenshade, my dwarf) was getting a drink for myself behind the counter of the tavern.  I jumped over the counter again and saw green text appear on the chat window.  It read \">You\'ve gained some practice points in Axe.\"

I\'m sure this is a bug, and it is the first time such a thing has happened to me.  Just pointing it out in case none of the Dev\'s knew or anything. :)

Hmmm.

A strange form of bug indeed!

If you do it again do you get more practice points?

Are you sure you didn\'t accidentally scroll up in your chat window or switch tabs from \"All\" to \"System\"?  It does sound like an odd bug, but from a coding standpoint I don\'t see how this could happen randomly.  The only value that should be changed is your Stamina.  I guess if some miscommunication between the server and your client happened it could be possible (when your client sends data about your Stamina, i.e. your jumping, it might also send a messed up axe skill value?), which might open up the possibility to stat spoofing the server.  That wouldn\'t be cool. <==me wildly guessing because the bug seems very odd and random.

Try to recreate it and if you can\'t, it might\'ve just been your connection being weird or you accidentally scrolled up/down in the chat window without realizing it.  Stupid chat window bug.

Most likely you didn\'t get the practice points, but only the message. The server makes some errors now and then with the distribution of messages. This also results in players who sometimes receive /guildchats or /tells that were not directed to them.

In other words: somebody else got practice points in axe because he was fighting with his axe. But he didn\'t receive the message about it, because it was transmitted to you by accident.

Well I know I \'ve had several loots like that .. and I didn\'t just get the message but also the actual items from the loot. Hasn\'t happened to me since the new update though.

Seriously? I occasionally got a loot screen out of the blue, but I was never able to actually take the items.

you might have been in a group zan
did it say Zan won the roll and has looted a ####?
because if someone rolls, you can randomly get it while in theyre group.
