I\'m on a mac. i just downloaded the game from the PS site. when I tried to play the only sever that was available (the other one said failed for some reason) wouldn\'t let me play because of the version of the game that I have (3.009 or something that starts with a \"3\" and ends with a \"9\"). I then ran updater and it crashed. Then I tried it again and it crahsed. Oh, I\'m using OSX 10.3.9.

Congradulations, You have joined a group of Mac users who have download (DL) PlaneShift (PS) and had it crash. I certainly achieved the same situation when I first started. PS is in a developmental stage and currently the 3009 version you download is outdated and is awaiting for the Mac part of PS to be corrected to the new version 3010. The mac platform has been out circulation for 2 weeks and the latest news is that its one programmer has completed his work and sent it to review and placement for future downloading. PC is the first to come online followed by Linix. If you have any programming experise I am sure dfryer will be glad to have some help. I suggest to seach the Forums to learn more
on how to do the actual DL once it is available. also the main planeshift.it site will anounce that 10 is available. Unfortunately they leave the inoperatable form on line until the new ones replace them.
The Updater for the 9 version does not work for Mac anyway.
Maybe we need a Club of us crashers. Maybe even a guild.

I\'d be up for that. You know, once I can actually play the game that is. ;-)

Felix, you sounded like the robot in Hitchhiker\'s guide if he got a happy firmware update.... too funny... :D

As mentioned on the website, the updater included in 3.009 doesn\'t work at all. Somewhere around here, you should be able to find a link to the Java-based updater, by Cha0s, but there are a few problems after running that.
Thanks,
Daniel

I am glad it is funny. I only wish I could remember what that robot was like.
