Title: Which Race You Suggest?

I am a little confused with all the class descriptions in the manual.  Basically,  it seems as if I like melee.  Does that limit me to dwarfs?  Any alternates to dwarfs?  Also, if I want to do melee, it is unclear which stats to add to.  Since I am just starting, should I add all to Strength?  Basically, I would really appreciate somewhat of a clear beginners guide.  I read the one on the site and it is just too much information too soon.  All you really experienced players out there, I tried Planshift a long time ago, but gave up because I could figure it out.  I kept getting killed by rats of all things.  Anyway, maybe list the basic steps I should take to have a strong start as a melee something.  Thanks. :D

Be a kran if you want to be a munchy bottom whipping  melee guy.

I know I am starting to sound picky, but any other good melee races?  Also, I keep hearing about something where they will clear all the characters.  Approximately when will this take place?

If you want to be purely melee, then dwarves and kran are the way forward. However, Ylians, Enkidukai and Klyros are also decent at melee, but more well rounded. Definitely the answer if you want to perhaps dabble in magic or martial arts. Plus, they are more agile generally rather than being simply brute strength.

The wipe? will happen \"soon.\" Essentially this means it can happen anytime, but not until the devs are sure they will not have to do it again, at least until planeshift is a full released game, maybe in 2020. So in essence, the wipe might occur with 3.011 when the quest system is hopefully fixed, or possibly with 4.001 (Steel Blue), or sometime in between not necessarily even with a new client update.

By the way AJIce do not use a weapon if you do not have a decent skill in it. Hand to hand is very useful with rats.
