While browsing the URPS site I came across this post by Ashamn
Greetings all mates.
It\'s strange but URPS is looking like a zombie, how can we move with this organization without participation. For what i\' saw after the Hydlaa Festival of the Hunt, URPS started to dye, and we dont want such thing, mmh maybe its time of a new meeting...

Ahh good to see you and glad you\'re still with us. ATM Valbrandr and I are stuck without any internet access until our fight with our isp is resolved. Because of this, my house searching, and caring for the pregnant wife, life\'s just been busy. Without internet I feel sort of paralyzed, so I do what I can from here at work but I feel as if I\'m going it alone. I have not given up on the URPS and I WILL NOT let it die. As long as I live and PS exists so will the URPS. I want to focus on direction, philosophy and ideology of the URPS and how it can influence and aid PS and regain support and gain even more than we had before. We need something new. Something big. Something no one has ever done before and that is part of the problem. I\'m too stupid, too conditioned by society, too ignorant to truely think outside the box. I\'m trapped in a lack of ideals and a lack of origionality, thus my driving force on the URPS is extremely lacking . I blame myself.
I consider myself lucky though to know such people as yourself. Your dedication is appriciated and I want you to know that Ashamn
All this got me to thinking. Where can we really truely actually go. I feel like the URPS is something of a shooting star right now, blazing across the sky in a beautiful and spectuar way, yet fading quickly, so that it is nothing but a memory. This was my greatest fear from the beginning and I do not wish to see this happen. I am looking for ways to come back, and come back strong, revamped, born again and improved.
We may need to restructure. It ended up not how I envisioned it nor Valbrandr. I had in my head a council of elders sort of thing going but I\'m not sure now - I need to let the fog clear.
To Do:
Find a direction to go.
Come up with ways of keeping people interested.
Find a way to be a productive member of the PS community.
Find a state of permance.
Finish new website
Recruit
Brainstorm
Regroup
and many many more that my feeble mind cannot think of right now.

Update:
I am going to try to start publishing a URPS Newsletter on either a Monthly or BiMonthly basis charting our ideas, discussion, and what we are working on and progress. I\'ll start soon to try to set it up so people can register to have it emailed to them.

Now that my Global Tests are finishing I can start to dedicate more time to this :)
(Err... Crap i still have Portuguese and Math Exams in 20 and 22 of June, but i wont study everyday for them, so as u always could do count with me)
Btw i saw only today teh Val\'s message for the meeting.. dated of 30 may.. err.. sorry for that, what about a meeting in this next week-end, on a Sunday plz..., Can u solve ur interet problems till then.. Err maybe not, once i\'m not gonna be in the 10 and 11 of June weekend maybe we could do one in mmh, about 3 weeks? What do u think?
In any case i have to keep the seek for the rest of the Port~Calem guys (sometimes i feel like i\'m the one who keeps this guild alive :( ) but they are other problems...

I\'ll fully dedicate to URPS as soon as my final exams will be over, and I\'ll be at the University ... that means from the \"middle\" of August.

AHHH!!! don\'t remind me of that! I\'m screwed with Portuguese. Also As I\'m a a lazy guy I don\'t like to study... and although I had to study for these globals I couldn\'t even if I wanted... teachers still gave us loads of homework and loads of groupworks... it sucks...

There haven\'t been much updates on the forums and i haven\'t heard from any member in a long time .
I would really see URPS get back active again , you have my full support and i\'m sure my other guild collegeus(hope i wrote that right) will support you as well ( actually we don\'t have a choice ,we\'re in it :P )

Yes, it is true that I give my opinion on many things. After all, that\'s what a forum is for, really. I am not, however, a spammer, and do not post on things about which I have no opinion. So I believe I\'m within my rights.
Yes, it\'s no secret that I don\'t support URPS. However, I am fairly good friends with Valbrandr, Induane, Sangwa, and Annah. If I say something inappropriate, I\'m sure they\'ll let me know.
As for what I said about your spelling mistake. It was just a joke.

I totally agree, there\'s no need to create such a tension, when there\'s no need of it. And besides, telling some opinions is why are these boards here aye? ;)

All this tension derives from the fact that evil is vanishing. If there was still cabali like people we would be too busy with them to create any tensions between each other.
So I say our new priority should be reviving the Cabal.

Some of the last of the good evil <- (?( oxymoron?) packed up and left with Seppy and the rest of the fuzzy bunny gang <-(obscure movie reference). So that leaves us with Am-heh, who is insanely evil but only one person, and a bunch of wana-be quasy evils.
And Phin isn\'t evil, just grumpy. :P
Perhaps I should have invited the URPS to help run the elections. Ah well, too late now. :rolleyes: I would help, but I\'m blowing all my hot air elsewhere right now. Got some stuff to finish for the Fellowship, and I simply must get back to my stories. I\'ve got 70,000 more word to write.

I meant cabali like evil not Dark Empire\'s kinda evil. We would degrade ourselves being as vain as the cabali :P.

We have been around plotting and being evil since long before your moon shone.
And even though we might not be as evil as before, due to our lack of activity, we\'re surely not wanna-be\'s. Maybe have-been\'s but definitely not wanna-be\'s.

I had considered making a evil presence, but...well, actually it\'s not to late, as my evil side has shone itself briefly once already. Perhaps Yamuel shall be reawakened someday. We will see.

In all seriousness though, Phinehas may sound a bit brusk, but he\'s usually dead on with critism. The problem is that harshly spoken critism is rarely constructive as it breeds defensiveness. That said it can still be taken seriously.
I have been working on something new that is probabily pointless :) I had a dream the other night about something revolutionary. Or at least I think it is. We all know the game that shalt not be named uses 3D in a web browser right? Blender does 3D design and has a game engine to boot. There is also a blender web browser plugin so that you can play your blender games in a web browser. My idea is why not use that technology to make a website in full 3D? So I set to designing it last night.
I built a castle wall, gate, castle keep and a basic armory so far. I\'m thinking the constitution can be engraved on some stones, and I\'ll try to find a way to have more of the content 3D. I think it would be neat for the URPS\'s site to be that way.
Not sure how hard it will be to pull off, but without internet connection I get bored at home and need to occupy my time somehow while being URPS aware. It doesn\'t do anything for activity or anything but it could be cool in the future I think sorta :)
As soon as we finally get internet again we will hold a meeting. It will be planned about 3 weeks in advance so that everyone has time to be contacted. Hopefully we\'ll get things fired up again and figure out which road we wish to take.

To all members of the URPS, I am pleased to finally announce that we will have Internet access once again at our home. This means I\'ll finally be joining you all ingame (as soon as I update), and also it means we can be more active here in the forums. I\'ve tried to keep up at work, but its just not a good place to try that :) Thanks for everyones patience. We should probably be online tonight, even if its just to make a few posts and update.
