Not much is different so far. Bugs are missing upstairs. They got rid of the rogue. Yeah, that one.
-
rogue was still there last time i checked, also the other monsters are just shifted about a bit.
-
haha,
I see you have not learned yet.
It took me a while too :)
-
Is it just me, or is there something wrong with posting screenies of supposedly \"secret\" places?

Yes, I believe there is....
It\'s more easily seen now, but still. Shame, shame, zanzibar. :P
It\'s not like anyone can get in that way anymore, anyway. Or at least without some kind of crazy jumping method that kills you half of the time...

Oh, it\'s quite possible to get in. It\'s just easier to deal with the well...
In my opinion, it\'s not secret if it\'s virtually the only door open in town, and it\'s right along the main path. :P With the wall there now, they\'ve made it the exit instead of the secret entrance. They should just make it more out of the way, and kill the bug that allows you to jump around...
-
I still must question the logic of having a wall block off a -door- :P Just close the door! Sheesh.
(Ignoring the fact that this is the only exit out of the dungeon now... But can this somehow be changed to make sense? What kind of architects build random walls around doors?)

Obviously, the city authorities have closed off the dungeon because they are too dangerous for people to enter, whether it be by accident or out of foolishness.
-
But it\'s not even properly closed off. And who goes through the trouble of building a wall when you can simply close and lock a door?
-
Doors can be broken down.
-
And I (a Klyros) can get past the wall as well.

Phinehas, not unless they\'re magically sealed off :P In any case, it would make much more sense to at least destroy that door and continue the wall to fill in the gap. Having that single wall at the moment is illogical architecture.

Huh? How does that make sense? Or did you mean \"if\"?

Illogical, but effective.
-
Hah! Yeah, I did mean \'if\' :D
Effective? I think not. A nice majority of players can still get around it. And in an RP sense, where\'s the effectiveness of having three walls and an open space to the rest of the city? Won\'t the monsters have easy access to townsfolk?

From an RP sense you would just call it \"secret\", and not refer to the actual architecture. Really now, one could write a whole essay on absurd architecture in Yliakum. Why pick on this one situation? Why not talk about the stupidity of having massive \"entrances\" to sewers. And why only two? If you\'re going to have them, why not dozens, or just one? Why two? Why have a tower that\'s completely empty? Why have balconies you can\'t get to? Why have walls that can be jumped over from hills?
My point is, it\'s really not fair to pick on these things.
-
There are only two ways of getting out of the dungeon, as far as I know.
1. Climbing the tower and jumping off, hoping you won\'t die (which you will.)
2. The door which is blocked by a wall, giving enough space to jump off the ledge safely.
I think it\'s still there so people can kinda... get out alive? ;)
Although, yes, monsters could get out that way... so why not hire people to guard the door?
-
Did you actually read the conversation?
I just ask because I don\'t get how your post has anything to do with anything.
-
Well, people are asking why the door should not just be replaced with a wall, so I\'m stating my opinion.
Also, I\'m unable to see the picture. I\'m guessing it\'s because it was a \'secret\' image...?
-
Precisely Uloim, I don\'t think it\'s realistic enough as is ;) And I think the same of the sewers - hopefully something will be done in time to make the entrance more believable.
-
What I don\'t get, Karyuu, is why you, a more-or-less experienced player, choose to whine over this rather than any of another topics when they all have to do with the idea that this game is still alpha! Why? Why?! Whyyyyyyy??!!?!
*melts*
-
Also, what IS the tower used for? Sorry for getting a bit off topic, but is there any place that mentions why the tower is actually... there? Is it a lookout tower?
-
Excercise. Imagine how fat all our chars would get if they weren\'t constantly running up those steps to see the view!
Actually, I seem to vaguely recall some mention of it having to do with the arcane. I could be wrong though, I tend to warp everything to lean towards the arcane. :D
-
I don\'t see how any of my posts were \"whining\" I don\'t get to state my opinion on things? What are discussions for? So the game is in alpha, does that mean we can\'t discuss its future? Pah.
-
If you had to defend your city from dragons, you would want a tower to cast spells from.
-
I asked some townspeople (NPC\'s), and they responded to me, talking about rogue Xacha sects, moaning sounds, being able to get up there with animals, and the fact that it could be hollow. I also think its made of iron. (Gotta like this NPC talk system! :D
Maybe it was Laanx\'s Weapon of Magical Destruction?
And the wall... Couldn\'t people just climb over it? A magically sealed off door would be better. And the Iron Temple\'s Architecture really, uh, clashes with the rest of the city... But it looks cool! (and spiky!)

Yes, I would. However, seeing as there aren\'t any dragons in PS... :P
Don\'t try and get out of it, Karyuu. You were whining and you know it. :D :P

Then what are the Carkarass and Klyros? They both can be classified as dragons.
-
Are you sure you want that tower to fight dragons?
If they\'re supposed to be able to fly you\'d be a clear target for them, they\'ll see you easily and you\'ve nothing there to avoid an attack.
The best strategy, attack the dragon from the mess that is the amount of Hydlaa houses for anyone that is seeing the scene as a bird (i\'m sure you have an expression for saying this, but, unfortunately i don\'t know it).
The hard the dragon can know where it is attacked from, the lower your chances are of ending bursted.

Isn\'t Carkarass a pet of the god of death or so? (Something like Cerberus) and bound to the death realm that way.
Klyros can fly small distances. I use to define small as a gap between rooftops etc.
But if someone was planning an attack with the Pterosaurs well it would give you the advantage of a smaller distance.
