The names on top of the charaters are blank and i dont know how to fix this.
Can any1 help me??
-
wow that\'s odd
Maybe the game is corrupted somehow. Try updating first. If that doesn\'t help, then try reinstalling it (but first redownload it)
That\'s all i can help you with.
ps: I havn\'t played ps in a while so i don\'t know much ingame, sorry.
-
There is a post somewhere on how to solve that error (and no, it\'s not corrupt)

http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16667&boardid=17 (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16667&boardid=17)

-
hey that didnt tell me anything on how to uncomment.....
i thought i had finally got it to work
-
how do i \"uncomment\" that file!!!!
-
First of all, please don\'t tripple post. Use the edit button.
Secondly, it says how to uncomment a line above:

something about uncommenting a line (erase the \";\" )
And in the thread I already posted a link to:
Origionally posted by res in the thread \"Name Tags\" (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16667&boardid=17) (emphasis added)
Blind shot: does uncommenting the line \"Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap = false\" (remove the leading semicolon) from data/config/r3dopengl.cfg change anything?
Origionally posted by Half_Pint in the thread \"Name Tags\" (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16667&boardid=17)
If that\'s a blind shot, I would hate to have you shooting at me with your eyes open!
I uncommented the line, and I can see the labels perfectly now. :)

what do i have to do to uncomment it. What semicolon, and where do i find it

Um... this thing => ;
It\'s to the left of the quotation mark, and to the right of the L...
In the config files for PS, a semicolon at the beggining of a line dissables it. The line in the file, mentioned above, should be turned on to fix your problem. (hopefully)
-
thats not what i meant! Where is the \"line\"?????that has the semicolon i need to delete?
-
Let me guess...
I think.... it may be the line saying:
;Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap = false
And, errrrrm, you may just find it in
data/config/r3dopengl.cfg
But, of course, all of this is blind guessing.
-
what is \"data/config/r3dopengl.cfg\"?
-
maybe its a place in your PS folder....
i thought it was all explained in the solution post
but heres some more if you use windows..
around here C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\data\\config then find the r3d thingy open in note pad do your stuff save and leave.
-
okay im going nuts!!!!!!!how do i get to data/config/r3sopengl.cfg??????????i do not understand wat u people are talking about! Is it in my ps folder? i dont even know if i have a ps folder!!And inside this data stuff,im supposed to find \";Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap=false\", then delete the ;??
exactly in what kind of thing is this ps folder in? art?wordpad?\"my documents\"? where!!!

Deep breath! Calm down. You\'re just not paying enough attention, or you\'re barely familiar with computers, or English is not your native language. Either way, no need to go crazy like this.
Of course you have a PS folder. You are familiar with the ways installations work? If you are running Windows, it should be in My Computer -> Local Disk (C:) -> Program Files -> Planeshift Crystal Blue. Then you\'ll notice other folders within that one, one of which is named \"data.\" Inside that is the \"config\" folder, and there you will find the file named \"r3sopengl.cfg\". Right-click, open with Notepad, find the line of text you need to edit, make the necessary change, and save. That\'s it!
