Hi people
Ive posted this before but nobody seems to reply so im giving it one more try!
Ive downloaded planeshift updated etc and got it working. However i have many dark or pitch black areas on my planeshift that shouldnt be there. I have tried using the terminal to \"relight\" places and when it loads up, Everything is fine all lit up and seeable. BUT then as i log off and then log back on all the detail has gone and its pitch black AGAIN. Ive tried repair disk permissions which Chaos told me to because my mac may not beable to remember how to save the relight graphics. But it didnt work.
Im at a total loss for ideas!
Any advice or solution would welcomed gratefully. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Try to check if any of your files in your planeshift folders are locked. Select one and type CMD-I to see the status. If you find some - unlock them.

One one of the other areas - maybe General Discussion or Crystal Blue Problems, Jorrit made a post about disabling \"lightmaps\", which would make things ugly but visible (i.e. there would be no shadows or darkness).
This is not the best solution, but would enable you to get through dark spots.

The thread is here (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16921&boardid=33&page=1#1).
On a mac, you\'d:
1. Open Terminal.
2. In the Terminal window, type \"cd \" (note the space). Then drag your Planeshift 3D folder into the Terminal window from the Finder (text should appear, woohoo). Then press return.
3. On the new line, type \"./psclient.app/Contents/MacOS/psclient -nolightmapping\" and press return.
Tada, Planeshift sans light maps. :)
