Title: Berserking Rogue
Post by: Zan on June 09, 2005, 04:01:25 pm
I \'m not quite sure how this happened or if it even is a bug. Actually it was pretty interesting and not unrealistic but when I was fighting with a rogue earlier and another one got respawned near us that rogue charged at us but instead of helping his comrade he turned on him. He ended up killing the mortally wounded rogue for me and while this didn\'t allow me to loot his corpse it was an interesting view to see two rogues duke it out. :D

After that the winner went on and attacked me though.

Odd, haven\'t witnessed anything like it.  Hope you took screenshots!  :P

I should have but in the heat of battle I didn\'t think about that. I was taking on two rogues here .. least I thought I was :P

Yes, I was in the arena earlier and I had to read \"clacker has been killed by grendol\" a few times before I admitted that the npcs now ATTACK EACH OTHER!

I think that it should saty that way but it should allow u to loot the corpses. It would be more realistic.

Agreed, it doesn\'t really bother me that they occasionally turn on eachother. It is only a tad annoying if a creature that is as good as dead gets killed by it\'s comrades and you lose your loot.

It is same as logical that one can\'t attack a monster which is being attacked by someone else and then loot the corpse.

Sure it is not fair that one is stealing someone else loot, but it is life.

Unfortunately this what we have now is much less complicated to code than supporting different actions which would allow to defend the loot.
At least it is how i see it.

I\'ve also seen a grendol fighting a clacker. Preety cool. Perhaps if a tefus kills a rat, and you kill the tefus, then you get rat eye, hide , and tefus tooth all in one loot.
