Hey all,
(Warning newbie alert!)
Started playing PS after it was mentioned in Linux Format (March ed?). Since I\'m in the Land of Oz, everything is a little slow, so I only read about it a few days ago.
Am using the Windows version, and to whoever decided to implement BitTorrent for the Windows Distribution, brilliant decision. It\'s impressive to see about 1500 seeds and 2200 leechers.
Um, to the point. I read the Player Guide in great detail, and have perused these forums extensively, but I\'ve not found anything about how PS has progressed up to this point. People have mentioned MB as the predecessor to the Crystal Blue version, and someone mentioned a Steel Blue? It\'s just vague curiousity more than anything else :)
Farewell :D
Oh, and since I\'ve not mentioned it, fantastic visuals, solid structure, and I think it\'s got great potential.

Well, first there was AB (Atomic Blue) which was basically just dwarves...who fell through the ground.
Then there was MB (Molecular Blue) which was an extreme improvement in just about every way, but was really just a crystal hunt.
Steel Blue is the release that is coming out after the current one.
That\'s really all the important history...

Actually... there was something before (http://www.planeshift.it/news_1992-2000.html) AB.

Thanks for that. Very interesting!

Mobius, Kiern was reffering to the 3D version of Planeshift.
Don\'t worry, he knows much more about PS than you\'ll ever learn. :)

This is a statement that you should be very very careful with. It not only is insulting to Mobius and superstitious in a way, but also there is absolutely no way for you to judge what he might know already or might learn in the future. There always is a chance of meeting someone who is / will eventually get a lot better at something than anyone you know.

That\'s just because Annah is much smarter than you will ever be and that allows him to say such things. You should know that Seytra, even though you\'re not nearly as smart as he is. :P
Note the irony...
Anyway, Kiern pretty much summed it all up.
Nothing -> AB -> MB -> CB (now) -> SB -> [Insert next codename here], and so on. But like Mobius pointed out, there\'s more to the name PlaneShift than just this 3D \"thing\" which we have now.

So the ancient, long forgotten Black Order queen still knows much about me. Wise words little princess.
:P
Meh, just wanted to have my conscience cleared up before the exams that will start very soon, so yeah, maybe my words could\'ve been interpretated as Seytra said. Though, not intended that way.
Peace.
;)
