Title: Please Login
Post by: thejims on June 11, 2005, 10:18:07 pm
It will not go past the login, and after I enter username ( email ) and password correctly it simply says Please Login ( some little white thing that pops up when I press ok )  Maybe I missed something during the install, I just installed CS/Cel/Cal3d/Planeshift all from sources and my computer stats are as follows:
AMD Athlon XP 1600+
ATI Radeon 9200SE
256MB Ram
30Gb Hd
SBLive! Sound Card

HELP!
:)

You can\'t use recent CVS source client to connect to the server yet. Use the Linux installer.

Regards.

Well, thats a shame, would using the non-cvs source code work on the server?  When I use that install package, it get some gooffy Cannot find a LootWindow error right before it closes each time ( Only made it into the game once so far, then instantly died )

CVS source is developers code, it may or may not work, it is usually being
compiled by the people who are willing to test it and find bugs. If you insist
on compiling CVS source use the -D option to download CVS dated on 19.05.05
but no warranty given that it will work absolutely fine, since there are a few
bugs in it as well.

Hey, that time it told me I was using an incorrect version instead of repeating Please Login.. Oh well, I guess I\'ll start a new thread and try debugging whats wrong with the install package ~_~

I think the 29th is far too new- try the 20th. Or wait for the next update :)

I\'ve been using the date suggested on the Gentoo build guide, and it works great!  I think the syntax on the guide may be wrong, tho, cuz it doesn\'t work when I put the argument where it is there . . .

For me, PS always runs better when I compile it myself.  That is, as long as it compiles.

Well, typo, it is supposed to be 19.05.05 - same relase the installer client were compiled from.
