Title: My screen won't clear between frames

when I load my game, it seems to be working well, until it has that sign that says \"welcome to planeshift\". instead of appearing to move down, it doesn\'t clear the screen between frames, so it looks weird. i have everything updated, and it doesn\'t look nice. it has a plain black background instead of a picture. i also can\'t see my mouse.


I used Cha0s\' updater if that helps

Is there anything in the Console? Also, what video card do you have?

Sounds like messed up config files or it can\'t find the data.  The updater was run from inside the planeshift directory?
