Title: URPS & SoR Site offline

as some of you may have noticed, the URPS and SoR website is not reachable. i just returned from vacation and found myself without internet access - that means the whole pleXus network is offline, the websites, IRC chats and my email server (i cant get any mails right now).

i dont know whats up, i called the cable company and they promised to send me a new modem - hopefully this will solve the problem. i\'ll post again when the connection will be back. if you need to communicate with me, send me a PM or an email to: pleXus@mysunrise.ch

Post by: miLosh on July 18, 2005, 02:23:31 pm: bah, talad must be hating me... so i\'ve got a new modem and was happy to be online for about 3 days. then, during a chat with Induane the modem went offline again yesterday at 5am and stayed offline for the whole day. it came back to life around sunday midnight only to go offline somewhen this morning.

i opened another call at my ISP and hope they provide me either with another modem or a lasting solution. sorry for the inconvenience, no one is more annoyed by that then me.

Post by: miLosh on July 19, 2005, 12:15:16 am: so, i scarcely dare to say it, but the websites are online again. i am pretty sure that the modem\'s damaged - i had to reset it and it went online immediately.

a technician will come tomorrow between 3-4pm (my time) to check out the modem and housecablings, im pretty sure i get another modem ;)

Post by: miLosh on July 19, 2005, 02:56:44 pm: the technician just left - he found that the signal strengh was too low and had to adjust it in the house receiver. its perfect now he said, plus he exchanged the antenna cable from the modem.

im keeping fingers crossed that the problem is solved now.
