Title: Corrupted download

Hi,

It is like it says in the subject. I\'ve downloaded the Windows client multiple times, from all available mirrows, and every time I try to install it, it says it\'s corrupt or incomplete. I have no idea why this is happening; I have an up-to-date virus scanner and it claims that I am virus-free.

When I bypass the the CRC check with /NCRC, it will start unpacking, but every time it bails at the same position with the error that the package is corrupt.

I can\'t imagine a virus corrupting it as I download or run it. The real-time protection of Norton Anti-Virus is enabled and the definitions are up-to-date. I doubt that I have any spy-ware installed, since I think before I click, don\'t use Outlook and use Firefox for a browser.

The md5sum output is:

1ab762f4a5b5015a19a51ac00ded4554 *PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010.exe

Is the download on the site (and mirrors!) corrupt? I can\'t imagine it is, but it seems so. Is this a known thing?

i\'m having the same problem and am really frusterated just trying to download from different sites at this point

damnit i failed agaain, whatever unless someone gives a good solution i\'m not trying anymore, if the developers want people to play this game they should allow people to actually be able to download it, cause this is a bunch of %&^*

So it looks like the downloads on the site are corrupt and have been for a very long time (I have tried before). This is bad. It doesn\'t make the Planeshift team look good. What\'s the deal here? I\'ve been keeping up with the Planeshift development over the years, but when they make it hard for me to do so, eventually I will lose interest.

I\'m not trying to attack anyone. I\'m just pointing this out.

Yes, some of the downloads are corrupt. I\'m sure Talad will hear about it eventually and correct the problem. Until then, just use the mirror in that thread.
