Title: Save the Guilds!

As guilds come and go, it seems the Guild List of Kada-El\'s Tavern (http://tavern.blueglyph.net/index.php) badly needs to be sorted out. It was about time I had a look, and as you can see on the front page of the site, we came up with a few names...  about which we are not sure anymore. In some cases, we have a pretty good idea, in some others, it would be good to have a confirmation.

So if you see your guild below, please drop me a PM here, or at the tavern, or simply reply in this thread. The guilds and organisations which fail to respond before July 16th will be buried in the Graveyard - that\'s not a place you want your guild to end up in ;)

Then later, in a more constructive move, it will be time to consider adding guilds instead of removing them!

I think i can safely say The Champions of Yliakum\'s time has passed, although we did attempt a revival it just did not work, Vanderbal has no time for freedom in rl currently let alone on ps, iy does not help he is having net issues too, which has placed me out of contact to him :\\

The Calen Vakhar is still around. The site went down again and I haven\'t taken the time to put a new one up but I\'ll get around to it some day.  As for Aendar though...I don\'t know what has become of him and where that leaves the guild but the few members are still around.

you\'d wish that eh? The Order is as alive as ever, the fact that we don\'t come ingame often doesn\'t mean we\'re inactive... :P (don\'t listen to him or its other members, but the ashes are dead:D)

The Order? Uhh, isn\'t that a bit too vague my child? And the Ashes aren\'t dead, they just lost a member, that can easily be replaced in the future. If you payed attention to your history lessons, you\'d know that everyone is equal in that guild.

 ;)

 Sentinels of the Ragnarok do have a web site, but there are some minor problems.

 I think this clears everything. Anyway, they are active, same goes for URPS.

 Like I said before, from this Monday, my final exams will start, and for two weeks, I\'ll be very busy, though, when I\'ll come back, some things will change around.

D\'oh, I missed that thread. I know URPS is still alive, I was just wondering about this site (and some of the member guilds, which seem away). Let\'s hope the problem will be fixed soon, then. About SOR, I\'ve seen this page (http://www.freewebs.com/thesentinelsoftheragnarok/), under construction. But after all this time, it seemed a bit strange.

Ashes have disbanded, but that\'s up to Phin to announce that, I suppose he didn\'t have the time to post anything about it yet.

I forgot, just a note, Dark Empire is no longer a member of the URPS organization, though, Black Order has been from the beginning. Anyway, just wanted to let you know about this, it\'s no rush, I guess it\'s better to be updated with the \"update\" of the Black Order as well.

 I\'m sorry to hear that about Ashes. Well, I hope it won\'t fade away forever, and that \"spark\" will still remain in its members, and who knows, maybe we\'ll see them again the future.

 And yep, it\'s kinda late for exams, but this is the way in Romania. I have 6 exams to pass (Romanian, oral and written, English - oral, and Math, Biology & History - written). It all lasts about 2 weeks, and after I\'ll be able to take the exams for the University, and in theory I\'ll have a new life started.

Ashes gone?! wow, wasn\'t really expecting that!
maybe like Annah said maybe we\'ll see them in the future.

The Ovates aren\'t gone btw, they just have too little members that don\'t log much. I see Bardialus once in a while in-game.


Oh, and btw KS has new forums, not all members are registered there yet, and we\'re waiting for a member to finish his template for KS... The other forums specially admining stuff and we needed a proper template :P Anyway, for those who want to check it: http://ksguild.link-host.com/

I received a few queries to add guilds on the list. Maybe I should have introduced the tavern in the first place, or at least its guild list.

It has been considered as a kind of reference of \"serious\" guilds for quite a while - it has been around since March 2002. Someone looking for a guild could confidently browse the list, check the sites and choose. We even had reviews of a few of them. Of course, with the growing success of Planeshift it has become more and more difficult to keep track of those diam.. err, those worthy elements. Besides, it seems time has shrunk during the process, you know... Murphy\'s law and all that.

To face the increasing number of guilds, we have tried to use polls, to measure the success of the ones which were around for a safe period of time. Hence the series of rounds you saw a few months back. The system is not entirely satisfying though, and we\'ll need a different approach.

Alright, all that to say, we will add guilds, in the near future, but not right now. I\'ll keep the names in my hat, but don\'t be worried if you are not added right away ;)

Hello all,
I\'ll take this moment to clarify that although the Ovates forum is dead; this is due to a point of or lack thereof of news that could be shared with the guild, we are still a functioning guild, though a slightly diminished guild at present.

Our main form of conversation and \'learning\' as a guild is mainly in-game for us nowadays, plus we have only recently begun to emerge once again in the community.

This form and way of communicating between ourselves is the most efficient for us, as it pretty much embodies the way that our characters perceive our way of RPing.

The most active of us in the Planeshift world are focusing on experiencing the game, and learning from it before we focus on recruiting people to our guild, hence the small amount of members we have.

When we meet a player that wants to join the guild then we ask them to post on the forum, that is another reason why there hasn\'t been many postings, there doesn\'t seem to be that many people that want to join our guild.  Although many guilds would view this as a negative thing, we see it as also a positive thing as it allows us to concentrate on our learning.

We are still here, and I think we will still be for a while to come yet.

I\'ve already taken care of that. In fact, I did it before Cad began this thread. And since Princess Aelya wanted the Dark Alliance over, I also told him to take off that membership.

Have no worries, Bardialus, I\'m only asking. I hope you\'ll soon have more success with recruitment; even if you want to focus on learning, won\'t fresh blood help you up the learning curve? ;)  Try to make your site and forums more attractive, maybe?

I\'m not the actual host that would be MiLosh or Lishom (depending where he is :).   His cable modem went out recently after returning from vacation.  Until his ISP sends him one our site will be out.  

His server also hosts \"The Sentinels of the Ragnarok\" site, so as the URPS site is down so is our site.  They will be back up soon.  Our ISP took a dump on us as well so we have been inactive except for me at work, as we currently have no connectivity.  I\'ve been saying we\'d be back online soon for quite a while now but it finally loooooks like it will happen this week.  I don\'t have a timeline on the site though, but it will return :)   Fear not all niether the URPS nor The Sentinels of the Ragnarok are gone.

Yo d00ds and dudettes! wassup? BTW I was passing by and thought i\'d tell everyone that the jig was long up for Moonlit Council. There aint nothing much to say besides that.

Never start a guild if you are employed as my gramps once told me. The guys I started it out with just kinda went on to live their lives just like me. I wonder why Kada hasn\'t kicked it from her list yet? Could it because she secretly loves me? If so *rushes at Kada with arms open and puckered lips* \"I LOVE YOU TOO DARLING!!!!\" :D:P.

Yes, Ashes is dead. After Tybalt left, I realized that it was rather pointless. The original idea behind Ashes was just a group of friends thrown together by circumstances, dedicated to defending each other. Well, by the time I was the only \"original\" member left, I realized that recruiting a whole new set of members would destroy what Ashes was created to be. So, after a little time convincing Cyl, I decided to disband the guild. Try not to cry too hard.

In other news, this means that if anyone is interested in recruiting me or Cyl, feel free to mention it. We are also toying with the idea of starting a new guild of some sort.

I just want to say that you have my condolenses.  Its too bad that Ashes has disapated.  Im not going to try and recruit you because Im sure you will either land with a \"more/better\" established guild or create one yourself.

We discussed it, and we haven\'t noticed any new guilds that look promising enough to be worth entering into the guild list. If you feel that your guild should be though, then let Cad or me know. Or post here (http://tavern.blueglyph.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=723) .

As Phinehas said, or insinuated in his own subtle way, we try to provide a list of \"well-done\" guilds, not just a complete list of the realm which could more easily be done with a script on the CB server - something else I\'ve been back onto lately thanks to a little free time. But I\'m just repeating myself :)

On the other hand, I\'m impressed to still see a few ones that are quite old, 3 of them - yes, one is hidden ;) - have resisted more than 3 years! Kudos to them!

And yes, we need more organisations! (just ... don\'t mention anything related to a mug in front of me, there are old stories I\'m trying to forget)
Don\'t be fooled though, the only one that will survive us all is BISM :D

Sword of Silence was dead since March, becouse there weren\'t almost anything to do with thieves, and Tyriel found some new battlegrounds (WoW...:rolleyes: )
and I, myself hadn\'t much time to play...

Anyways....,I have played about a week or so... the wipe lured me back into playing :P....
But still.... since there have been a lot of changes I intend to keep playing it and I\'d hate to waste a good idea like the Sword of Silence was...
Don\'t know anything about Tyriel though, haven\'t talked to him since Spring... I\'ll try and speak to him, becouse Sword of Silence was mostly his idea...

Maybe the time is now right to resurect The Sword of Silence from it\'s grave... to call back all forgotten warriors and thieves.... to start a new Life of Adventure and Glory...

PS! Since nobody has updated the webpage since last March, it will take time when all broken links are cleared, the page updated and also old members erased... but in few days I will create Sword of Silence ingame and hopefully even get some new members before the summer is over...

PPS! I\'m not starting to recruit new members before i get everything done on webpage(Tyriel created the webpage, and I am not sure if I can do anything there :P)... but if you wan\'t to join and see me ingame (Mortazz) give me a /tell and I\'ll see what I can do
