The... direction of the statue? :P No no, actually it\'s facing the library area. To the left of that banner will be the Laanx Temple, and where the logo is, on the right, is the blacksmith\'s (and Harnquist\'s domain). Anything a bit more specific you\'d like to know, navigation-wise?

No as in what direction is the camera facing , North west south or west?

As there is no compass in-game, I doubt any sense of north-east-west-south is valid at the moment.

I can try :)

If you\'re facing in the direction of the camera in that banner, turn left and walk a bit until you see a street entrance - a bit before the Laanx temple. Walk up the street without taking any detours (though you\'ll have to take a small flight of stairs at some point), basically aiming for the central large brown tower - it\'s quite visible no matter what. Once you\'re by the tower, walk a bit behind and to the right of it to find the city gates. Exit, and continue straight on the path (entering a new sector once you\'re a ways into the forest), then take the right path once you hit the fork. This will take you to the magic shop. If you stand at the door of the shop, facing outside, you\'ll see a wall to your left that is a bit unlike the others. This is usually the location to mine for gold.

Remember: you will need a pick first and some training in Mining offered by Harnquist. It may take several tries and some moving around to find key spots to mine, but that\'s basically it :)

The camera is facing south-east (roughly).

The only time compass directions are ever mentioned is for \"East Hydlaa\".  But, that\'s enough to begin from.

Not only, the gate which leads to Ojaveda is called the north gate by some NPCs.
