(The following event has just RP intention, we really dont expect to find Ulbers, just to have fun, be sure of that before start flamming..)
Arrives at the midle of the Plazaa a litle ashamed, and turnes himself to the population of Hydlaa:
Greetings! I\'ll try to be the shorter I can.
Has much of you know the Ulber are getting more agressive each day that passes, by taking offensive actions agaisnt the Yliakum population. Investigations showed that they\'ve left they major city, located in the old ruins. And this friends, are terrible news.. We could be facing a migration that will result on an invasion of our citys! In the wrost of the ways they could be marching to Hydlaa or Ojaveda right now!
But lets not be paranoy, it\'s a fact that they are finding a new location were they could meet with the rest of the Ulber Tribes to start an invasion, and it\'s almost impossible to them start marching to war right now!
That\'s why we must act!
Zan and I thought in creat an expedition to seek for their new location and if the seek has sucess, who knows, maybe join an army to destroy them! That\'s why we need cartographers, scouts and explorers to begin the seek, and warriors and paladins to use their weapons if they are needed! We must be ready to protect ourselves!
Everybody willing to join must contact me or Zan. The meeting point will be next Sunday at 18:00 gmt 0 in the Gates of Hydlaa (inside the town). It\'s with you now..
-
Pushes away the crowds on the plaza to reach Ashamn
Hmmm....Yes i have noticed it ! The ulbers becoming ever more agressive, terrorising the lands! This threat must be dealt with ...We must Unite with eachother and deal with the Ulber once and for all!
You have my Feather and paper to seek out the dangerous routs . And you have my sword too.
Wraps his cloak back on and returns to the shadows
-
*appears right next to Jekkar while he\'s talking
Yeah! You\'re right! We must find where they are heading to and if they are a threat to us, maybe find a suitable place for them and turn their attention away from our homes?
I shall meet you there too! My magic mugs are yours!
Lordbug\'s magic mugs jump out of his bag and run towards the Ulbernaughts
Nooo! wait not now!
*goes after his mugs
-
Shalmaneser leans up against a tree with a smug look on his face.
What? You can\'t just kill them using arrow?
-
*comes back in time to hear Shalmaneser, with his mugs
Ulbernaughts are precious for the nature\'s balance we can\'t lead them to extinction. I\'m against killing them.
-
Looks surprised at Zanzibar
Of course we wont kill them, that\'s not our objective. This is an expedition, not a squad, the warriors only are need to act if anything goes wrong, like rogue attacks, Tefusangs or somethingt else.
-
They won\'t move without a leader, someone to direct them with a strong personallity and the will to do so.
I don\'t think you need to worry too much for now....
*dissapears off into a crowd of people*
-
Listen Drey\'s comment and then look at him
I cant prove they have a leader, but what I can prove is that they leaved their major city, and that scares me, a lot. They are needed to keep the nature\'s balence has Lordbug said but we cant just allow them to do what ever they want and put Yliakum population in constant state of alert. The only thing that this expedition will do is seek for them, then study them and see if they represent some danger to us. Nobody speaked in attack the ulber. Ok I did it, but only if they have dangerous thoughts agaisnt our population.
Looks at the crowd
Any more questions?
-
It\'s possible that they are following a leader, more likely it\'s a simple pack mentality. Personally, I think they\'re being herded.....
-
*walks up to Ashamn and his friends*
I am glad to see there are still people concerned for the fate of Hydlaa. Of course I will be joining as well and have my magics and experience help where possible.
*turns to where Drey was standing*
He seem to know an awful lot about them .. I think we need to keep an eye on him.
*faces the crowd again*
If Drey is right we need to locate this leader and be ready to \'replace\' him with a more peaceful one. The Ulbernauts have always been a threat to us Yliakeans but as long as we knew where they were, they were a known threat. Now they are obviously on the move and more dangerous than ever. That is why this mission is very important.
We will not be heading out to kill the Ulbers or assassinate their leader yet though. This expedition is intended to gather information and discover what is going on, not initiate a battle. I would even like to remain unseen at all if possible. If the Ulbernauts don\'t spot us they don\'t know what we know, which puts us at an advantage. That is why I have to ask that nobody directs any offensive manuevres towards the ulbers. Those who fail to comply will be endangering the mission, the lives of those involved and could possibly seal the fate of Hydlaa.
*rests his eyes on Shalmaneser for a moment*
So if you want to come along, hoping to crack some skulls I suggest you don\'t bother joining us and spend your day at the arena instead.
Knowledge and the element of suprise are the key to victory so that is what I \'d like to have on our side should this incident turn into an open war.
-
*Niavard has been standing nearby, listening until now*
This is insanity! Ulbernauts attacking fortified cities? from all what I\'ve seen, ulbernauts fear yliaki! they only attack us when they feel threatened! I\'ve travelled the path between Ojaveda and Hydlaa quite a few times, and I\'ve never been attacked by an ulbernaut!
*Niavard takes a deep breath*
Since when do Ulbernauts build cities? since when do they follow single leaders? they are nothing but ordinairy animals! thinking they might be plotting to destroy hydlaa is paranoia!
*Niavard pauses for about half a second*
at least you\'re sending an expedition to investigate first, I\'ll be coming along, to prove that they aren\'t aggresive
(ooc: shouldn\'t this be in the roleplaying forum?)
-
*starts clapping
Well said Zan!
The element of surprise is always a good advantage. Ulbernaughts might not be that smart, but they have fast reflexes and can react quite fast, only a very agile Enkidukai can dodge the attacks.
*lets Niavard finish his speech
Maybe that\'s the problem... someone might have angry them enough.
I don\'t think no one ever said Ulbernaughts built cities, they just live in abandoned places like the Green Ruins.
I think if they are really following a leader, something must have changed in their behaviour. Maybe that \"leader\" is more inteligent than the others... maybe we\'re facing the beginning of a new race of Ulbernaughts!
Oh, and remember the attack of the Ulbernaughts in Hydlaa? So much for the fortified cities... and the guards...
-
Looks amazed at the people that have gathered
Maybe they are under a spell or such . A spell casted by they\'re new \"leader\" . This threat must be faced with or the whole of yliakum will die under the claws of these befouled creatures.I have heard of a place , an open wide plain of liquid goo. Maybe we should lead them there .
Returns to the back of the crowd
(ooc: shouldn\'t this be in the roleplaying forum?)
( i think it does :P , but lets tease the gm\'s for this time .)
-
walks out of crowd to Asham
Sir, i think i have the valuable information for you.
Not so long ago i was traveling to Ojaveda when i spotted two Ulbernauts at the edge of the hill. I carefully got near them sneaking in the bushes.
They were barking and mumbling to each other, and after a while third Ulber joined to them.
Considering that i was alone I stayed hidden, but after a short while all three Ulbernauts walks away in the Hydlaa direction. I dont know is this information is any helpful for you, but me and my sabres are ready to investigate this, and to defend citizents of Hydlaa in case of danger.
-
He crawls through the crowd... Nobody sees him, nobody hears him, nobody feels him, because he doesn\'t want to be seen, heard nor felt. But he sees, hears and feels everything, what is happening around him. If somebody had read his thoughts, this is, what he could see:
\"expedition... yea, yea.... ulbernauts... they are right... ulbers are very anxious lately... carrots around temple... funny... a leader they say... like evil drey probably... a spell ?... a spell... maybe... ah, yes... that wedding was memorable... and all those newcomers... they tease ulbernauts... then die... then smell of their blood make ulbernauts more and more irritated... next one asking about emerald lake... wha..?... ulbers... talking to each other ?!... (the thoughts are trembling like leaves in the wind)... get a job, freeloader... somebody mentioned enkidukais... enkidukais are agile...? well... better tell my master... he may be interested... maybe he will throw some coins... or a yummy mushroom... go.. go...\"
He sinks into the crowd. Nobody notices, nobody cares.
-
* Jumps out to say*
I think drey up to his evil tricks if you click on his evil icon at the bottom it tells how him and his friends herded some Ulbernauts into the town. I think this is his doing!
-
Ah Ulbe..it was too good to last. I figured our days were numbered once that evil Drey taught you how to get into town and didn\'t distract you from yer natural inclinations with a few ales. Thanks for all yer help herding the Tefs. As of now the Herdsmen Guild is disbanded. Not too hard to do since you and I were the only members! Har har..
Go back to yer natural ways Ulbe. I release you from the geas of Herding.
Hey!! Gimme back my barral of ale you overgrown Tef!!!
-
ooc:fine, I thought what drey did was anti-rp, silly and should be ignored IC, since it can\'t be explained how all those ulbernauts \"spawned\" inside the city, but I\'ll play along.
The ulbernauts have attacked hydlaa? this is new to me, are you sure this is just not an unfounded rumour? the Ulbernauts aren\'t Suicidal, they wouldn\'t be able to get past the city walls and the guards, and they are just animals, they wouldn\'t be able to organize themselfs.
*Niavard thinks for a few seconds, and then takes a deep breath before beggining to speak again*
I suppose the azure way could explain suicidal behavior, but you claim that someone would take control of the minds of the entire ulbernaut race, let alone several of them? no one is that powerful, and if someone was, then the azure way energies eminating from the creatures would be easily found and recognized by a wielder of the blue way.
This will probably just turn out to be an unfounded rumour, people fear ulbernauts because of their strenght and appearance, but they are peaceful creatures if they don\'t feel threatened, and they would never dare attack a city...
-
Shalmaneser waves his hand in the air with an impatient look on his face.
We all know who\'s doing it. They\'re herding the Ulbers away from the ruins just like they\'re herding the Tefu away from the field. It\'s the Dragon Council. Now, mind you - not all of them. But the higher ups aren\'t taking care of their own, so they\'re just as guilty.
-
Stands up and faces Niavard surprised
What do you say with: \"but they are peaceful creatures if they don\'t feel threatened, and they would never dare attack a city\"? I\'ve been atacked by a Ulber when i was coming back from the Magic Shop, and look what that peacefull creature have done to me (Shows an ugly scar in his torso).. And how do you explain the fact that they have really atacked Hydlaa? There are proves that they\'ve attacked some of our habitants right here in the city.. You are right in some aspects, that I must agree with, but there are some others..
Then a smile appears on his face
But you wish to join us, in this dangerous trip and i couldnt be more pleased with you. Be welcome then!
Don\'t forget that anybody that wants to join could please say so; to be easier to manage the expedition, thanks!
-
(Shouldn\'t this be in the RP section? )
-
ooc: Niavard I agree that part of what Drey did was anti-rp. With that I mean the part where he and the GM\'s revealed themselves explaining how they had done it. That is why I like to ignore that and consider the Ulber invasion as a special event. It happened, now this expedition could provide a more roleplaying reason for why it happened. Something besides Drey lured one in and the others got spawned by the gods or whoever. I thank Drey for doing what he did, it is awesome RP material but he should have left things unexplained in my opinion.
As for that question if this should be in the roleplaying section, I don\'t think so. The roleplaying area is for stories, this isn\'t a story but a quest and that goes in general section where there is also room for roleplaying *points to description*
I am glad to see many controversial beliefs gathered here and most are interested in joining us ... for their own reasons. It is possible that we are all struck with paranoia here but I doubt that nothing is going on. It is true that Ulbers aren\'t the smartest entities underneath the crystal but they have shown change in their behavior lately, the reason is up to us to discover.
For all those who doubt the violence and agression of Ulbernauts hear me! I have been there when Hydlaa was under siege. I have seen many citizens die in the chaotic battlefield that was once a peaceful plaza. I fought for my life and the lives of others to keep the Ulbers away from the tavern so that our younger and wounded people would be safe. Luck has let me survive as I was knocked out and left for dead in the gutter.
I do not resent the Ulbers, nor wish to hunt them into extinction for what went on that day. But I will do everything I can to protect my friends and defend my home! Ulbers may once have been peaceful but they were not on that dark day, where the pavement of Hydlaa turned red with blood. They may have shown little signs of intelligence but they did not seem so dimwitted in battle, never attacking alone, always trying to outnumber and surround your enemy .. they have shown clear signs of strategy.
The Ulbernauts are a problem and it is up to us to discover the roots of the problem and find a solution, so who will join us?

OOC: Mmmm, you should have checked characters stats some months ago, where Ulbernaut showed at the top of the \"Thinkers of the world\" list. :P

A male Enkidukai approaches Ashamn, bows and speaks:
\"Milord, interesting news have reached my ears. I heard, that You prepared expedition in order to cast light on latest ulbernauts attacks. My n..m.. ..s
(Two dwarves start arguing loudly, whose axe is sharper. For a few moments they draw all attention and Ashamn can hear only them.)
\".e..s, so I shall be happy to participate. I know Hydlaa\'s surroundings quite well. I am also familiar with many herbs, I can serve as a healer, if something bad happens. Now I must go, if You excuse me. Other duties are calling.\"
He quickly bows and instantly vanishes among rabble. A faint cry tries to pursue him:
\"Sir!? What was Thy name ?! Sir !?... \"
Too late.
-
It\'s US or THEM! KILL THE BEASTS!
-
Gorod says to himself : Let somebody brace him or i\'ll do it...
-
*places his hand on Shalmaneser\'s shoulder and the air sparkles with crystals for a moment*
Don\'t worry, you can join us as well and I even have the perfect task for you ... keeping our beverages nice and cold.
*after cooling the mad elf\'s temper he goes back to making some preparations for the expedition*
-
Shal pauses for a momment, then twitches...
DEATH! DEATH! KILL THEM ALL! LIGHT THEM ON FIRE!

Taser sighs as she watches all the men fighting pointlessly over the raid
If you ask me, i say kill the beasts.
lifts up her skirt
as i was walking by a few ulbeys one day, a big one came in and scratched me. i put him in his place, just go for the necks.
Now men, though these ulbernauts are ferocious, vile creatures, they are primitive compared to us
with a smirk, taser adds
well maybe not krans
taser gets up on her feet and shouts to the crowd
If the work is not completed by a man, than a woman shall step forth. i give my services to this expidition.
-
Taser, stop being such a sexist.
-
Let\'s calm down mates.
Looks at the crowd
We just can\'t exterminate the Ulber, otherwise I would request for an army, not an expedition. We must understand his actions frist to see if we can prevent a bloody war agaisnt them! They aren\'t primitive anymore, they are starting to be \"more inteligent\", there are persons that already have seen them in small patrols of two.. I\'m one of those persons, and i\'ve been attacked by that primitive race without showing any ofensive position agaisnt them. That\'s why we must understand what his behind their anger..
Looks now at Zanzibar
Calm down mate! This aint an army as I\'ve said like some 30 times, so please stop with that. I know that you are very angry agaisnt the Ulber, maybe they have done something to your family, but we can\'t act like that.. We would be messing up with Nature\'s Balance. Otherwise you\'ll start to see the number of rats and Tefusangs raising up, because they won\'t have any predator to eat them. So we must frist study our options before start a pathetic war, that could bring destruction to Yliakum!
Goes back and them pick up some draws in his table
This is going to be our probably expedition formation:
The main group will have 2 flank of warriors and paladins to prevent ambushes from other forces; we will have a group of elementalists and cartographers in the midle (with nothing that could intervene on their vision camp), the mages will follow behind them. NOTE: elementalists, cartographers and mages will be surrounded by the warriors and paladins to protect them if something goes wrong.
The group will be lead by two scouts that will be in the front of it and in constant contact with teh main group. The same will happen with the scout that will be behind of the group.
Any one willing to join that it isnt mage, paladin, warrior, elementalists (or herbalist) or cartographer will be behind the mages on that empty space.
This formation can be changed, but for now, it\'s the one we are gonna use.
Any questions?
-
*straightens up from leaning against a wall, watching the group. mutters something to himself and then steps forward.*
I have a question, sorry if i haven\'t been paying too much attention to your ramblings. But when is this \'expedition\' going to take place?
-
Listen at Drey\'s question, then look at him
The expedition is going to take place next Sunday, at 18:00 gmt 0 at Hydlaa\'s gates..
-
maybe ill be there
*strolls off towards the tavern*
(ooc: jekkar, 3 stars = stupid, then what am i :/ )
-
Looks at the formation list Ashamn made
Can me be Cartographer ? Im a bit weak with my sword but i\'ll fight to the death if i have to .
(ooc : Drey that probably makes you smart , you have 4 yellow stars and a position as game master(btw im only commenting that im stupid because if have 3 yellow stars according to people around here who like to think so ) )
-
Hears Jekkar, and faces him surprised
Of course you can be a Cartographer (werent you one?), and I think you wont have to fight till death with your swords. At least all we hope so..
Sees that Drey has some interest in joining the expedition
Be welcome then! Please just say in what group you want to be, just like the rest of the habitants that want to join.
-
(ooc: due to ooc reasons I won\'t be able to come sunday, or the coming three weeks, so you\'ll have to go without me :()
-
Actually the Ulbernauts do have a leader as stated here yliakum fables (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16416&boardid=15&styleid=4&sid=244abfb2f06b6c8e10be13c9f9a177fc)
-
hmmm... maybe the one Ulbernaught that got herded was a mage and teleported an army of other ulbernaughts into the city. or maybe a group of them wandered around the sewers and smelled the one that got herded and came to it. or maybe they all had too much Ulbe ale and walked the wrong way into hydlaa and beat up all the guards in a drunken rage... but do they have the intelligence to make ale and cast mass teleportation spells?
the sewer theory is probably more like it... barricade the sewers!!! /me hears all the rat and gobble hunters screaming and crying for help.
... :D /me rips off the barricade and is mobbed by the trapped hunters.
Suddenly an Ulbernaught appears. \"I knew it!!!\"
and kran are not primitive!!! they just don\'t the same mental capacities as others!!! no offence to kran... one of my characters is a kran...

Official report on the expedition
----------------------------------------
Author: Zan Drithor
Expedition members: Ashamn, Bodacher, Janner, Tisouril, Nilrem, Ozbi, Eolius, Ogu, Verrliit, Heroro, Zan, ...
Goal: Gather intel on Ulbernaut migration and the state of their tribes.
----------------------
Events:
I caught up with the expedition as it was about to enter the Ojaveda hills under leadership of Ashamn Actus. Our first objective was to investigate the ruins, last known location of one of the Ulbernaut tribes. The entire group managed to sneak past Tefusang Valley without much trouble but soon we ran into our first encounter, closing in on the ruins a part of our group was attacked by territorial Trepors. The Trepors were quickly eliminated and we set up camp just infront of the last hill before the ruins. Ashamn and myself volunteered to scout ahead and found the ruins to be abandoned aside from Eolius\' aunt, the archeologist Nyshyn.
After we called the entire expedition over there we searched the area for tracks and Eolius informed with his relative, while our mages attempted to pick up on any energetic disturbances. In the meanwhile Bodacher went to scout the road for any signs of Ulbernauts. Back at the ruins we quickly found that all signs pointed towards Tefusang Valley and the Stone Face that is located behind it. Before we could move out Bodacher sent word that he had spotted an Ulber on top of one of the hills not far from the merchant Grok Idon. While he kept an eye on our unsuspecting target, the rest of the expedition gathered just out of sight while I went around the Ulber to make sure that he was alone.
After the area was secured and everyone was in place we lured the Ulbernaut down and attempted to capture him for interrogation by our mages. It soon became clear that we could not hold the creature and after a vicious battle with a few casualties and many wounded on our side Eolius managed to slay the monster before it killed us all. We didn\'t get any chance to find out anything more though so we set up a temporarily camp where our wounds could be treated by Tisouril and our fallen warriors could return from the Death Realm because we would definitely need their help. After everyone was recovered we headed out to the Stone Face.
Once again sneaking through Tefusang Valley, some of us were being ambushed by Trepors. None were killed though and the expedition arrived at their target. It appeared none of us could follow the tracks that disappeared into the mouth of the Stone Face. None managed to climb it and our rock picks couldn\'t even chip the sturdy stone. In the meanwhile Eolius and Heroro went back to check out the ruins and alerted us that there was Ulber activity there. It seemed to be a single Ulber again. Since we weren\'t getting anywhere we decided to go back to the ruins and attempt to interrogate yet another Ulbernaut. This time we managed to suprise the Ulber and I saw a chance to freeze him in his tracks with my knowledge of the Blue Way. Eolius got ready to break into the Ulber\'s mind and retrieve the required information there but it seemed that he wasn\'t too fond of that. I failed to contain the enraged Ulber and it struck down Eolius while he was still in a trance. The entire group came to his aid but it was too late. Eolius had fallen ... and the raging Ulber swung at everyone who came near him.
Our warriors closed in on him while our mages unleashed all their spells upon him and soon we had weakened the Ulber and calmed his rage. While Bodacher distracted him I attempted to freeze the now weakened beast again and succeeded for a second time. With the help of the rest of the group we could contain him this time and I prepared to break into his mind once again. What I saw was chaotic at first but after a few moments I could pick up images. The Stone Face, hundreds of Ulbers climbing inside going underground and Hydlaa being in danger were the last things I saw before the Ulber broke my hold and killed me as well.
As I returned from the Death Realm I heard my team members had avenged me and killed the Ulber. After that I called the expedition back to Hydlaa for now. All of us had contributed well and we could use some rest before continuing our search.
------------------------
Summary:
-Ambushed by Trepors twice. The group got separated every time which leads me to conclude those Trepor were planning to attack us.
-Discovered Ulbernaut migration from the Ruins towards the Stone Face behind Tefusang Valley.
-Spotted one Ulbernaut on the road towards Ojaveda, close to Grok Idon. Eliminated that Ulber but lost two men in battle.
-Investigated the Stone Face with little result since we did not manage to venture inside. Tracks from Ulbers were discovered there however.
-Spotted one Ulbernaut at the Ruins. Managed to hold and interrogate it briefly. Discovered that the Ulbernaut tribes were moving underground towards Hydlaa, this through the use of magic. Ulbernaut was eliminated after killing several expedition members and breaking free.
-Ulbernaut followed the group while returning to Hydlaa but was taken care of by Eolius, who was scouting behind the group.
------------------------
Further plans:
I strongly suggest that efforts are made to search both the Sewers and the Dungeon underneath Hydlaa for Ulbernaut activity. Also it is important that security around the Town is increased and all underground accesways are guarded as well. Hydlaa might be invaded once again.
-
Sorry i didnt make it ( had to go to some stupid birthday party )
Good you got some intel on the situation.
Good job guys!
-
After hears Zan\'s report, Ashamn looks at the crowd once more to say a few more words
As you can see, the ulber are really migrating, and i would like to talk about some few points that he refer in his report:
-Ambushed by Trepors twice. The group got separated every time which leads me to conclude those Trepor were planning to attack us.
What can i say of this? Trepcos attacking the group twice?.. It\'s pretty strange, and the Ulbers might have some allies.. Who knows..? This kind of attack are suspicious..
-Discovered Ulbernaut migration from the Ruins towards the Stone Face behind Tefusang Valley.
The Ulbers are migrating, there are no arguments that can prove it wrong. i was suspicious of that, and now we have this terrible prove in hands.. We don\'t know yet which are they plans, but migrating always showed us that there are more darker things behind..
-Spotted one Ulbernaut on the road towards Ojaveda, close to Grok Idon. Eliminated that Ulber but lost two men in battle.
A patrol? An emissary? We dont know.. The Ulber attacked the expedition, instead of trying to keep himself alive, knowing that it was certain death; and that made me think that he was probably hidding something from us. The thing it\'s.. We wont ever know.
-Investigated the Stone Face with little result since we did not manage to venture inside. Tracks from Ulbers were discovered there however.
Tracks that resulted from the Ulber\'s migrating, and one of their weak points.. Thanks to this it\'s pretty easy to find Ulbers..
Guess that they arent such primitive as we thought so..
-Ulbernaut followed the group while returning to Hydlaa but was taken care of by Eolius, who was scouting behind the group.
..Spying?
------------------------------------------
Brave people dyed in the expedition, trying to help some other members. These are prove of valor that we must award. Everybody that dyed here has my respect, and of the rest of the group members.
The Ulbers are getting more agressive, the vigilance must be increased in Hydlaa and Ojaveda, we must organize patrols to watch for anything suspicious in Ojaroad; and as Zan said, \"search both the Sewers and the Dungeon underneath Hydlaa for Ulbernaut activity. Also it is important that security around the Town is increased and all underground accesways are guarded as well\"..
Hydlaa might be really invaded one more time.. It\'s time for we organize ourselves. An Ulber War might be raising from the shadows...
(ooc: great report Zan ;) )

(I managed to take a few screenshots of the action)
Eolius stands triumphant on the body of the first Ulber!
It\'s hard to see, but Eolius is trying to probe the beast\'s mind here, while Zan holds him still.
Unfortunately, he is not successful.
Risking life and limb, Zan again attempts to discover the Ulber\'s motives.
Alas, we could not hold him for long, and I had to destroy the fell creature.
I also wanted to commend Tisouril, as without his healing skill and potions, the Ulbers would have caused more damage to the expedition than it did. Hope your hangover isn\'t too bad Tisouril.:)
-
Tisouril woke up with the feeling, that he has forgotten something important.
He rapidly jumped to his feet...
\"Arrrgghhh...\" terrible headake forced him return to bed.
\"At least this pot wasn\'t necessary...\" Tisouril pushed the pot under the bed.
\"Bodacher, I hope You are right about the \'training\'.\" he thought.
Suddenly... he remembered. His dream.
He was in dark, humid cave. He heard the sound of metal knocking the rock. Then... the walls started to shake, rocks were falling from ceiling... Than the scenery changed. He was in some kind of unknown shrine. Mumblings of prayers were filling whole space. Then, columns started to tip over...
\"aaahh... stupid dreams. I shouldn\'t drink so much, especially after all those experiences, and after spending the whole day with mages talking to ulbernauts... But that taste... I love the taste of that dermorian drink...\"
Tisouril yawned, and tried to stand up once again. Slowly.
\"Well. Now to the bathroom...\"

I\'m no decision maker, just a humble warrior here, but I feel that another expedition may be called for. The last 2 or 3 days the Ulbers have becoming increasingly bold. One of them has even taken up residence at the Magic Shop of all places. I cannot fathom what this means, and feel that it should be investigated.

Perhaps you could be right. The ulber threat is definitely not behind us and is still as real as ever.
Since I am going to be travelling to my homelands for a few weeks to try and reconnect with myself I won\'t be around to help out the new expedition but I wish you all the best of luck.
And be careful.

I do agree Ulbernauts are dangerous, but we all are sometimes even more dangerous which should make everybody wonder what is our and Ulbernauts role, before another so called expedition will be called.
I have heard the reason of first expedition was only knowledge, but i have heard here some simply calling it a hunt! I dont think so any other \"expedition\" will be different.
You say they come to terrify and kill us on purpose, but i will dare to say, it is often we who bring them into places of everyday use like magic shop. If you don\'t believe me, read this:

Guys I was hoping we could keep this whole ulber thing a nice fun roleplaying event. For that I \'d like to ignore everyone who has been dragging Ulbers around everywhere like Taser and Drey. It \'s not that I have anything against what they \'ve done, just that it \'s not good RPing material to know how where the rest, the ulbers who are on the move, could be great RPing material.
I think that most of us agree the current planeshift world is rather boring and because of that not very suited for roleplaying. I definitely don\'t mean to point any fingers, the devs are working very hard and creating a great game but there is still a lot to be improved and fixed in due time. Because of that I believe in order to have some decent RPing we have to ignore certain actions and make up alternate reasons for them. These actions of Taser and Drey before here are of that nature. If we \'re going to discover that someone simply lured an ulber into town our fun is over. But if we ignore that part and see an ulber in town, then make up our own story .. like an invasion .. now then we have something to build on.

Whoever said that the previous expedition was a simple hunt is gravely mistaken and obviously didn\'t take part in the expedition. I do not deny that we have killed a few Ulbernauts but that was all out of self defence. The only reason we even engaged them was because we needed to \'interrogate\' them in order to find out more. If you know a peaceful way of extracting information from vicious creatures that kill on sight and not just when their territory is invaded. Instead they wait at our roads for defenceless travellers, they attack our outposts like the Magic Shop or even manage to get into Hydlaa itself and wreak havoc.
