I Just recently downloaded the new PS version for Mac and it works fine. The only problem I have is I get a really low FPS. Around 2.3 when others around me say that get 40 or more. Is this a problem with the Mac version of PS or my hardware or something?

What is your hardware config. I got fps 40-140 (Powermac G5 2x1,8, 1,5Gb RAM, Radeon 128MB)

We would need your hardware/specs in order to determine what your problem is, though your question is rediculous.

Its both :D
PS is still a work in progress and you should expect a slow buggy game. To play this game in with good FPS you need RAM and lots of it 700+ and a decent videocard too. ?Whats your configuration?

Excuse my poor english. XD

I suggest that you use Adaptive Distancing to increase your frame rate. You can find it under video options, I believe.

I\'m running off of a G4 iBook w/ 1.2 Ghz and 512 mbs of RAM and a 32 mb Video Card. I just installed a driver update for my video card which did wonders for playing Halo.

Low RAM and low VRAM, the two things Planeshift needs the most. That\'s probably the problem. As I said before, if you want to improve frame rates, you\'ll need to use adaptive distancing. The only other option is to get a new graphics card and/or more RAM. Also, stay out of the plaza. The lag is terrible there, even with a decent computer.

I tried with Powerbook G3, GF4MX with 32MB VRAM, 640MB RAM.
I get about 10-20 fps and can see things as far as three steps ahead of me at times :)

The \"G3\" bit is your biggest problem there. G3 processors are significantly slower than G4 and obviously G5 processors, even when they have comparable megahertz listings. Planeshift really requires a G4 to be played reasonably.
