Title: Smaller Infowindow

I think info and chat windows are too big, and they waste too much space. I\'m doing some tests to reduce HUD size.
Here is a sample (it can be smaller), please give some feedback. If anyone is interested I\'ll finish it.

I would like a smaller info and chat window too.  I personally prefer them to be quite a bit smaller than the ones shown in the link you provided, that\'s just my $.02.  Good job doing that, hope you encounter success!

The chat window was not modified (but i plan to do it). It was shown beside the info window just to have a reference of the size of the new info window. And they will be smaller, it was just a test.

Hi.

Pretty nice, and it works too. I agree that the info window could be a bit smaller. I\'d suggest you add some kind of backdrop to the info window when it\'s finished, otherwise the text is hard to read when the surroundings are bright.
A quick way to make a window smaller is to enable resizing from the corresponding xml file. Just add the following declaration to that window\'s opening tag:
 resizable=\"yes\"
You can then resize the window in-game by dragging the lowright corner. Note that this resizing does not make the window\'s contents any smaller, limiting it\'s usefulness.

Ps. May be a good idea to just give a link to the xml file itself, especially if you\'re planning on modifying many files. Would make the posts considerably shorter. :)

Size: it\'ll be smaller when it\'s finished

Backdrop: same answer,  will be done later

Resizing: I don\'t like that option, I prefer a static but tiny window

Link to xml file: agreed, this was a quick hack, but next release will be hosted somewhere.

I think it is a little big too. Awhile back I also redid my info window but I also removed all the things that weren\'t useful to me and added my own gui. I was hoping to redo all my planeshift gui but it isn\'t that easy to edit. I found you can\'t remove items but hiding them works just fine. Here is my info window:

Can you post a screenshot of you actual gui?

Are you panning release this gui mod for public use?
