Title: "you dont see a good place to dig"...

well, Im at the first mining quest right now, and I tried to dig at the area around the magic shop. but it always tells me: \"you dont see a good place to dig\" no matter where I try.
other chars can mine the area w/o problems, but I searched all the rocks and rock walls and cant mine anywhere. what to do now? :(

please in the future, try to make only one thread :D



Make sure you have your mining axe equipted and have at least 0 mining with full training.

Also make sure you are typing the right thing.
If you are trying to dig for gold say /dig gold :D

And make sure you are in the right palce :D You should see at least a couple people mining, go by them and mine. If you still can\'t find a good pace to mine, go into the magic shop, go out and you should see a rock in front of you, to the left of that rock is the gold mine :D

oops, Im very sorry for the triple post, my browser had some problems yesterday, I didnt mean to post that often

about the 0 mining with full training:
if I type /dig gold it says \"you dont have the skills to dig for gold\", so I assume I have to invest a progress point into mining first?

you need to use either 8 or 9 progression points before you can start mining.

thanks, it all worked out and I got myself some lumps of gold ore now :)

theres another question:
either Ive been missing things out (since I heard quests arent working atm, but I just picked it up somewhere) or Im just clueless:
I played this char with an earlier release and took harnquists quest, then stopped playing (it was the time where rats were uber-strong). I returned a few days ago and now I dont have a clue how to give harnquist his gold ore. just giving it to him gives me \"I dont know what youre talking about\", and there doesnt seem to be any other option (Ive talked to him about his gold/ore but he says he has no idea. the quest is still active in my questlog though)

you give by right clicking and then choosing gice or whatever, but like you said quests are messed so he wont give you anything...
