Title: Buying Arenas
Post by: Kiern on September 15, 2002, 02:14:25 am
I think it would be a good idea if people who own an establisment (like an inn or something) could purchase mini fighting arenas (i forget what their called fighitng pits or something?) and they can bet on who wins and stuff so they dont have to go to THE arena and innkeepers can use it to attract people!

Great idea!! More places for me to vanquish evil, and the plus would be that i could get drunk at the same time!

I think that is a really good idea.  There could be little local fighting leagues, and the winners could go on to huge server wide tournaments to win fame and fortune  :D

But seriously NPC\'s available in arena\'s would be a good thing... We could put people against them and bet too.

There could be like a league championship thing. To win you must go from town to town and beat down the competition. That would be too cool. Imagine the prizes and glory....and groupies waiting outside the ring.

Does anyone know what the street fighter class means? I thought it meant something like this, but I\'m still a little confused.

Street fighter is like a warrior...and its not a class, just a preset path for newbies to take

I like the idea of buying arenas in Planshift. For one, peole participating in arenas and retreating get to fight immediately after they get healed up a bit, if they live to retreat. Also, it could be some sort of \'entertainment\' for people in inns \"or stuff.\"

Heehee, I just keep thinking of the scene from the Cable Guy where they go to the Renisance Resturant.

Heehee.

Maybe the fighters that take it as a full-time job to fight in arenas could get tatooes to mark themselves.
Has anyone here played this really old game by interplay, I think it\'s called Dragon Warrior or something like that. They had an arena didn\'t they?

They have Dragon Warrior on Game Boy, but I don\'t think it was by interplay. In the Old-West gunfighters would sometimes put notches in they\'re gun handles, one for every kill. What if you could do that with a sword for everyone you killed in the arena?
