I was just wondering if any girls actually play this game?

I get criticized for being female and being into MMORPG\'s.

IF we were to do that, why would Moogie be a GM9/2D dev/Moderator/and shadowkin. Talamir is impressed  Besides. Female Enkidukais probably outdo any other race/gender.

I can\'t speak for anyone else but personally, I think it\'s extremely cool that you and other women are into MMORPGs (or any other games). I\'m really against stereotypes. Plus, this is 2005, so anyone who tells you it\'s uncool for a girl to be into games, ignore them because they\'re stuck in the past. Girls/women make anything in this world a little more interesting just by being around. :)

I can\'t believe people still criticise each other about such trivial things. In fact I\'m quite convinced that this is a dying practice, and most of the girls I\'ve come across who were asking if they were the only female either had a persecution complex, or wanted attention. (Keeping in mind that I\'m not presuming either of the above about you ;))

Take it easy, Karyuu. Even if you\'re not presuming anything, I don\'t see posts like that as some kind of need for self-confidence boost. It\'s her first post, she may have just gotten into computer games or MMORPGs. She may be very young (or a scorpio :D), so a little want for attention is understandable. If she\'s a teenager, for example, it\'s possible that her parents and friends could be criticizing her for playing computer games. Last but not least, with all the stereotypes flowing around about women and computer games, it\'s understandable, and it\'s only a question. :P

PS Wonders if Karyuu has grown her hair long again. :D

Hair? Long? Never. At least not for a few more years ;)

I really didn\'t mean anything negative with my post, and I think I\'m starting to understand the frustration and eye-rolling that Phinehas and Kiern must do, when thinking of how extremely careful you have to be with words now. Which they don\'t do anyway (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v74/karyuu/kaoani/xd.gif)

Besides, I was commenting on my own experience. If it has been negative so far, I don\'t think I should avoid speaking about it altogether in case someone else may be offended at the things I went through ;)

Believe me, I understand being careful with words only too well. If you notice, my \"suggestion\" topics often start with a big intro to make sure I don\'t offend anyone. Even then some people miss it.

I wasn\'t trying to seriously criticize or scold you either. I knew you didn\'t mean it in any angry or hateful manner, so my reply was on a much lighter side. The problem with forums is that it\'s hard to get a tone of voice and facial expressions across, even with all the smiley faces available.

By all means, speak up, Karyuu! I was just making sure you didn\'t scare the new poster away. Basically, I\'m not trying to shut you up, only making sure it\'s not misunderstood by others. :D

PS But Karyuu, if you don\'t grow your hair back, I have nothing to pull on. :P

Well I think those people who say girls have no place in MMORPGs are plain ignorant, furthermore I know a lot girls who could easily beat me in any FPS.
