What games did you all come from, before playing this, and what games do you all play now..
Also, anyone know of anyother good free games... i know of like two....
such as
subspace
graal
But what ones do you guys know of?
-
So noone knows of any games to play while we wait for this one to become \"playable\"?
Comeone, there must be a few bad or good games to tide us over while we all wait for this
-
There has already been a threat about this, anyways, only other free one i know of is
The R word
and Helbreath
-
:(
I searched for the R word, and there were no results that were a game, and for that helbreath. i found the site for it, but it takes forever to load, and times out :(
Thanks though.
-
No one may say the R word here!
-
What is the R word?
Ragnarok?
If thats it, what a frickin stupid game, i hate it! HATE IT! HATE!
If its not, pm me it then, i wanna know :D
-
lol, no its not ragnarok, but that is a stupid game
its runescape 8o
-
AH!!!!!! WHAT AN EVEN DUMBER GAME! I HATE THAT ONE TOO! dont they charge money for it now?
ANOTHER STUPID GAME!!!
Hummmm.......is it a following, all games that start with an \"R\" are going to fail horribally?
I think so....
-
Oh yah, one more thing, how about more games.......
How about games that when you search for, and try to see the website for the game, it dosent time out and not load the page :P
-
NO SWEARING ON THE BOARDS! X(
How about we keep this stuff down a bit. I mean, i am a MMORPG fanatic myself, but this is a PS forum, and excess of useless material leads to spam, which inturn leads to arguments, and fights among the members. If any of you want to know some cool games, that you can beta test for free, or want to know some of the sites, feel free to PM me here, and i will be willing to give them all to you, or atleast the sites where most can be found. Some of the free games i would advise to stay away from, since they suffer from what is know as the \"S.B.H.F.B.U.S.\"
Check this site out, it\'s pretty cool for games: http://www.mpogd.com/ (http://www.mpogd.com/)
-
Who was swearing,
No one thats who :P

Why dont you stop being cheap and pay for a game. Just because you pay for the internet you think that all your expenses are paid?
-
Its not being cheap, paying to subscribe to agame is proposterous, thats why i usually end up leaving MMORPGs. I mean, why pay for a game every month?
-
Maybe you fail to realize how much it costs to run an MMORPG, the large ones are generally resource intensive, and they wear out parts fast. Add that in with the fact that parts you need to replace are for high end servers, and you have about 5-20 of them. You also have to pay the programmers, the company that produces the game, the tech support staff, and all the other people. It isn\'t exactly cheap to run an MMORPG, as such they need to charge monthly to keep up with running costs.

oh yay another p2p hater! i totally agree...any game thats p2p sucks simply cuz its p2p. youd think buying a cd would be enough but noooo they gotta charge you an average of 10 dollars every freakin month! people go on and on about how much money it costs to run servers...the bottom line is charging the players happens to be the most convienient and easiest way to support the servers. i wouldnt know of many other ways seeing as im no game dev. but im sure there are tons of possibilities. well ill stop cuz ive argued about this before and would prefer not to do it again. although i will probly get an arguing response anyway...
-
rumors are that \"R\" word servers are run on an old 1990 penitum 33mhz with a 14.4k modem, all 17 servers :-o 8o
-
I whole heartedly agree with Princess Aelya Buying a CD should be enough, but then they make you pay to play the damn game you already paid for....phhhh... screw that, p2p sucks, and usually when games that were free go p2p end up dying, because people dont want to pay for a game, especially ones like the \"R\" word, what a peice, maybe, and i mean MAYBE if it was alot better, ALOT!, i might, just might pay for it, but one game i will pay for is that new star wars galaxies game, that looks great..
-
Ok, so you think buying the CD should be enough, who pays the bandwidth costs for the servers?
And trust me, the bandwidth costs are significantly higher than the manufacturing costs (hmmm, stamped CDs costing a few cents each, a dollar per printed manual, etc).
The makers of the game have to make up for that extra cost.
-
Dude, they charge like 50 dollars for the damn cd, so many people buy it, it should be enough, otherwise they should just make the game downloadable, then just pay the monthly/yearly fee...
Also, what about thouse blizzard games? you pay for the disk, and play for FREE! no subscription....
-
i dont mind the paying monthly fees at all, in fact i used to be playing 3 of those tpyes of games at the same time
but what i do NOT like is paying $50 for a cd THEN paying monthly fees, i play the ones you download for free, not stuff like EQ
-

What the hell are you talking about, is that why like 95% of alive mmorpgs are p2p? the ones that are free are pre-beta and suck. And from what I can see Runescape is doing well, not the greatest game in the world but people play it.
-
I bet you guys know about Ultima Online. And Ultima Online does as many other companies have chosen to do. They charge a monthly fee, and do you know why? Let\'s take the Europe server. They pay a monthly fee of about US $1000, just for the connection. This already makes me wonder how they would still be hosting the game if it wasn\'t for the 100.000\'s of players who pay those US $10 per month. Then think about that they\'re hosting like 8+ servers. Then they have to pay for the people that keep the servers from going kamikaze. That easily comes to alot of money each month. Do you now know why people charge money for a game? ;)
And if you still don\'t understand, I suggest you go to the doctor and get your brain checked, \'cause I think there\'d be something wrong with it then. :D
-
Prices for the Servers can easily get up past the thousands, many people dont understand that and think all they have to pay for is a physical server and a cable connection, well sure a cable connection is fine to host a Quake 3 game but not a Game World with thousands of people.
-
I know they cost, but a monthly fee sint the answer. Ide be fine buying a game for 60-70 bucks, and playing for free. Advertising, is another way to make money. Put some ads on the login screen or something. There has to be an alternative to p2p.
-
Well then you shouldnt have to pay for a frickin disk, and then pay to play the game you just bought. I said its better if they just have a p2p, and dont buy the disk, just download and pay.......but still, p2p sucks.
Back to Runescape, They had ads on their game when it was free, i dont know about now, but there were ads.....They got greedy and wanted more money. because there is still the free servers and the pay ones, the free servers still have the ads on them.
Also, paying 10 dollars is fine, I wouldnt normaly pay for them unless the game was really great, and you get a chance to play it for a while, and see if you like it, not one of thouse, give us your credit card number and you can play free for three days.....three days isnt enough to do anything......it should be like 2 weeks, and with out having to give them your credit card number....then when you get hooked, charge money.
-
Ads dont generate anything, like half a cent a view or someting depending on if its a view one or one you click on.
-
About ads,
1) they are annoying as hell
2) you could make more money by asking a lamp for money
and just paying for a game straightforward won\'t pay for costs at all. say 100,000 people buy a game at $60, thats 6,000,000 dollars, not bad, but that will be eaten through within months, how would you expect someone to run a game for 3 years on money they would have to spend in months. That monthly fee pays the entire company\'s salary, pays for servers and game maintainence, pays for internet/telephone/etc., pays for tech support, pays for future development of games/expansions, and also pays off any loans or investments made in the game before it was sucessful. There is really not another option other than monthly fee.
-
And i said that was fine, if you dont have to buy the pay anymore to get the game, and not even be able to play it with out paying money, to play a game you already own.
And the majority of games want about 20 + dollars per month, If the fee was around 10 or so, I think more people would be more inclined to pay that, but still, if they were to charge money, you should be able to play for a couple weeks to see if you like the game or not...
-
if the game is good, then people will continue to buy the game. and they will not lose all that money so eaisily.
-
did anyone play lineage.
if you did you most definatly know me.
eq>life
-
I tryed to play it, I have this Korean friend, and he went there like 2 years ago, to vist his dad. I heard about it, but did jack shit about it. Then two months ago or so, I decided to download it, but it costs money now.
And if im not mistaken, they want a credit card number to play free for like a week or so, i could be mistaken, but they want something like that.
-
The current trend that seems to be emerging with online games now (not neccassaryily the top main stream ones but the 2nd teir ones) is that you download the game for free and pay for the monthly charges. JumpGate is one of these, Ryzom is to (or will be) as well as others...
If i was to set up a set of servers in own country for a game the cost of hiring or purchaseing bandwidth or dedicated line would be around 8-10,000$ a month (thats assuming I had a large user base, if you had 100-200 users would cost about 1-2000$ or so, maybe a bit less, i can alwasy shop around for lower deals) a month. In my country broadband still has a monthly limit on downloads (thats if you where useing a standard ISP to run your game, most comercial games buy or hire the actual Lines)
You then have to fit in the cost of a server or should i say servers, since there are rarely ever 1... unless the coders can code a network engine that can get the same performance from a single server as it woud from multiply, now servers are not your average home PC, these things are very powerfull specialised machines, they make your home PC look like an old 486, if you tried to run EQ or UO on your home PC (remeber youd have over 1000-2000 players accessing your machine at one single time) your machine would lock up in an instant or your modem would just freeze (if you didnt have bandwidth sufficient to handle it), although the most probable situation is your uses would experiance unearthly lag due to your CPU being unable to work out and send all teh data it needed to to all teh players fast enough.
I havent looked into prices recently, and cant remeber vivdly what they where when I checked but I can tell you that your middle line server would cost at least 7-9000$ (im talking my countries currency), although I think there is a way to use older machines to make one large server, which I think is what the RS server system is, 12 old pentium 300\'s can do what a single server can normaly do data wise.
So for those that whine about p2p, do a little research and come into the real world dont expect companies to spend 2-3 milion dollars developing a game and its software (your average PC game takes around that to develope comercialy) and then to say hey we\'ll let you play for free while we take teh huge cost of running the game servers our selves...
p2p is a fact of life (and as i see it keeps all those who are unable to apply for a credit card, ie all those bellow 18yrs of age out of the game)...
I hope PS can pull of the free use, and still have acceptable gameplay.. if they do they will have done something most cannot... and ill respect themforever for that accomplishment, not that it means anything.
-
ok the difference between eq and like, lets say tribes 2. tribes 2 has a 32 person limit to start, and YOUR computer hosts the game, just like age of empires or anything else, eq is hosted by big ass servers owned by SOE, which can kiss my ass :))
-
the devs at VI nerfed my main characters class yesterday.. teh beastlords... we did fine before the patch, and where promised an upgrade.. instead we got a shuffle that made us worse then we already where (mages are whinning since they dont want to lose there top seat at the pet classes)... but i love my beastie... ill perserver.. seems Verant has about 20 large scale bugs in this recent patch to EQ...
whats this got to do with anything?... I dont know... its jsut funny seeing a company like VI that breaks its game every time it patchs something, you got the patch then teh day after patch... hell they even forgot to put teh new shadowknight spells in they said where going to go in.. hows that for major stupidity.
-
I myself was, and still am a beta tester. Used to roam the lands of the internet, looking for good, free games to play. There number of games that i went thought is unbelivable, starting form the first one that i played, Lineage. It was super addictive, and still in beta, so I wasted most of my time there. Anywho, that game is too big for us all, raking in massive amounts of hard cash daily, more than any of the other games could ever hope to earn in a month.
Anywho, the point is, don\'t whine about p2p, it is a way of life, and it has the basic concepts of our everyday life, like shoping for example, you don\'t go, \"Just Cause I bought that tommato, i should not pay for this orange!\" Plus, this has already been discusses.
So yeah, i agreed with the p2p side of this, since buying the CD is not often enough, and MANY of the MMORPGS on the market now a days don\'t even sell you the CD, they allow you to download the game, for free, and make you p2p.
Plus, there is a simple solution to this problem, don\'t play MMORPGs. Isn\'t that always the case, if you don\'t like something, you can just leave?

the VI office is about 5 miles from my house, and my friends dad used to work there, i\'ve met most of the programmers, and they are pretty bloody incompetent. This is magnified by the fact that almost no one who is there now was there when they made the game. I also have the suspicion that they make bugs on purpose, to create a false job security.

I always laugh when i see people complaining about things now, they used to be oh so much worse. I played a rogue pre-kunark and it was terrible before they fixed them. Backstabs did about 50 damage max (the highest one i\'ve ever seen is 6k, my personal highest is 1872) and there was no evade, Rogues were about as useful as a bard tanking in 1337 full bronze. Also, if you can completely solo to 60, you have a gross advantage over other classes, and don\'t have much room to complain :D
Anyway, to keep this rant on topic, yes Pay to Play is a fact of life, if you don\'t like it, don\'t play games, or make your own, whatever floats your boat.

Note: This post may be a little late.
As a matter of fact Maskil, Ragnarok is an amazing MMORPG. The art in that game is spectacular. It\'s disappointing that the servers are down for a while (Much like Project Entropia\'s) but there\'s not much that can be done about it.
The only free MMORPG\'s that I know of are:
Planeshift (looks good)
Ragnarok (is good)
Project Entropia (Finding out on October 1st)
and good ol\' Runescape (is......Runescape? :P )
Runescape gets a bad rap mainly because of it\'s simple graphics and animations. It\'s actually not all that bad, and not all people on there are retards. Many people try Runescape, but are turn off by the fact that it\'s not a newbie friendly game. Give it a chance, it can grow on you.
Whoops! I almost forgot about the Half Life MMORPGs that are coming out:
Quest: the Lost Realm
Role Play Half Life
These are also free and have the potential of being entertaining. However, only if their teams to a good job and if a lot of people become interested in them.

No, your extremely wrong, Alot of people loved runescape before it started pouring in with lamers, and thats whats turning people off from it, you cant walk around for 5 minutes without having some idiot PM you or follow you around.
-
OK, it seems to be a \"thing\" now-a-days to annoy Alucard. You know the old saying \"Crap is crap, no matter how you look at it!\"
You can\'t just judge the game by it\'s graphics, or the size of it\'s download file. The bottom 3 games you have described are BY far the worst games I have encountered.
Ragnarok is \"crap\" because it harbours some of the most stupid people on the planet, and the company does NOTHING to fix that. No matter how you look at it, there are games that are updated daily to keep the hackers at bay, that game is lucky if it gets updated once a month.
Project EntaCRAP is another horrible example. It\'s just a massive pyramid scam online, and anyone with a brain of a four year old will understand. What kind of an idea is it, to convert REAL money, into \"virtual\" CRAP. And the curancy is just humourous 1:10. People I now, used to pile $100+ a moth, just to sustain their character, since EVERYTHING in that game needs repair, and guess what, it costs virtual money to do so. Plus the \"servers\" once in a while just decide to \"erase\" everything, and whipe out all the items and money, I don\'t know how it is now, but when i played, i lost my stuff several times. And i believe they still lag.
And the final one, well, those who have been around me long enough, know what i think about RuneCRAP! People don\'t play it, or stoped playing not only because of bad graphics, but because of those idiots that steal your character, and those mods that corrupt the rest. I for one, know a bad apple when i see one, and stay away!
-
*clap clap clap clap clap*very well put!
but one thing i disagree with is your statement about ragnarok. i myself liked that game. i made many friends there and the people were not all that bad. although ill admit some of the people in that game were lame kill thieves, i didnt have much trouble other than that. the thing wrong with RO is there simply isnt enough to it. its missing quests, skills, and i think its a bit to hard to make money. but other than that, RO was fun for me. it is unfortunate you had a bad expirience with that game.
-
Tibia was released with graphics better then the R word. About as good as ragranok... which is pay now.

Vyse316,
I played Runscape for like a year, i had all that good shit, the ammolite or whatever it was, the mining, that pissed me off, \"Click, Click, Click , Click, - You get no ore ,repeat\" How fruterating was that, and just in general, that game after playing it for a while, made me quiet mad.
Also with Ragnarok, yah, the graphics were amazing, but everyone on there was an ass(with the exception of like 20 people or so). And I got banned in it, after spending about 7 months on my char. that just pissed me off (I had a pretty decent char too. it was like lvl49, with a hell of a lot of money, and epquiment). But all the negative things about that game out weighed the good, so, it was crappy, in my opinion that is.
-
I have to disagree with most of the statements said about the MMORPGs that I listed.
Firstly, I\'ll start off with Link\'s statement. No, I\'m not extremely wrong, you\'re the one at fault here. Many of my friends (you know what friends are right?) have been turned off by the fact that the graphics suck and that newbies are basically just thrust into the game with no special help given to them. I have yet to have one complain about some idiot harassing them. I myself find such rare instances humorous, and if I\'m in a good mood I sometimes even give them some free armour or money, just \'cuz I\'m a nice guy :D. It\'s a fact about all MMORPGs, don\'t fool yourselves into thinking that Planeshift won\'t have the same problem.
Moving on Alucard\'s statements. You can\'t fix how people act in a game. How could the company fix a person\'s personality with an update? You obviously didn\'t think that remark about Ragnarok over very well. Plus, I played Ragnarok for about a month before the servers were shut down, and it was updated AT LEAST 5 times. I also loved the \"witty\" names you gave Project Entropia and Runescape. Replacing the ends of their names with CRAP! is down right original (Check your spelling, it\'s Entropia not Entaopia.) God, you must have the intelligence rating of bread crumb to even think that those would\'ve seemed hilarious. Idiots that steal your character? Hmmmm. People can\'t magically steal your character in Runescape, you have to GIVE them your password, and you\'d have to be a pretty big idiot to do that. Plus, there is software in place now that bans people who use mods such as autominers. Moving on to the Project Entropia statements. \"And I believe they still lag.\" Its amazing how a game that\'s been shutdown since August can still lag. Do some research numb nuts. The servers were shut down in August because so many people complained about losing their money. The MindArk team has been working steadily ever since trying to make a bug free system. The ETA now is October 1st, give it a try then and re-evaluate your previous statements. Despite the fact that you\'re a blithering idiot who can\'t spell worth a damn, I partially agree with your view on Project Entropia\'s economy. The 1:10 ratio is preposterous. I know that I wouldn\'t pile on $100+ a month to play it. However, I am impressed with the concept of it. It\'s refreshing to see that teams are still thinking of unique ideas to prevent their projects from becoming mindless EQ clones.
Phew, that about does it. That\'s a load off my chest.
~Vyse out
PS: Princess Aelya, for God\'s sake capitalize.
PPS: I apologize to all the people I lashed out at, but hell, in my original statement I attacked no one, it was an innocent little post. I believe that my opinion should\'ve been treated with a little more respect.
-
Ack, earlier today I downloaded and played that triba game, I didnt like it too much. Personally, I think Runescape had better graphics than this(last time I checked that is).
-
I hate when people, who have suprisingly good arguments to begin with, yell at others for grammar mistakes and capitalization....its totally ruins the statement as people focus on the wrong parts, it also shows that you are running out of things to say, so you look for stupid things that have nothing to do with what your talking about
im not yelling at anyone in particular, i just like to post what i think right at that moment :P
-
I disagree Kiern. I believe that spelling and grammar are very important aspect of a post. I find it hard to take someone seriously if they spell as bad as a grade school student. Of course, we\'re all entitled to make some mistakes, but seriously, if you proof read a post you can eliminate 99% of the errors. Part of the reason I disliked the remarks made by others is that they didn\'t bother to check their spelling or grammer, showing they really didn\'t give a damn about the topic, and they didn\'t even try to check their facts. I mean, if you\'re going to insult something, spell it right!
BTW it\'s pretty damned obvious that you were directing your post at me.
~Vyse out
-
Actually, I was not directing it at you, if you look at ANY of the posts where people are aruging you will see people pointing out those things in EVERY single one, its just something that annoy\'s me.....and as for spelling bad, maybe people are just not as good with a keyboard, or with the english language as others are.....also for proofreading, some people do not have the time to do those things, and do not reread their posts, others are just lazy.........like me
i tried not attacking you personally because you had some ok points, which im not aruging with since i dont know (or care) either way
-
Thanks for clearing that up Kiern. I apologize for jumping to conclusions. It\'s just a firm belief of mine that if you are trying to make a point, you should make it as professional as possible.
It was quite narow-minded of me not to think of people who do not speak English as well as others. If that is the case with any of the people who I previously talked about, then I am truly sorry. In the future let it be known that I can accept posts from people that are written in French, if you happen to be more comfortable using that language. Being from Canada, French is a second language.

Ah, great, more of your type of peple. Just to tell you one thing, they don\'t seem to last here for a long time, since they tend to piss of everyone, and act like a n00by ass that they so pretend not to be. BTW, i did not think you are an idiot before, nor did I atack you personally, but now well, now you have fallen in my eyes, and in the eyes of others that visit these boards.
Anywho, to by point, you are a stupid n00b, so keep it down untill i get you your milk.
As you have said yourself, you have only played those games for a month at most, I on the other hand have play most of those games for more than 5 months, on some occasions, before I realized that they were \"poo\" You played RO for a month, i played untill lvl 47, even before the massive \"Beta 2\" update. Used to hunt in the lower lvls of Island dungeon(forget the name), and the Pirate Ship. The most horrible place to hunt was the tower, on in that mage town, since 1:2 people you meet was a bot, who would pick up everything you killed, clicking 10+ times, and laging everything and everyone like crazy.
As for character stealers, well, i don\'t want to call you an even bigger idiot, BUT YOU ARE! Kada-El here is a great example, since there was a post on her boards, regarding her character being stolen. As for myself, well, in RO i used to hang out with a party of Korean people, if you see a guy by the name of -=McDonald=-, and mention the name TheGeneral, he will know me. And the point is, every week, one of people in my party would lose a character to a hacker, along with all the stuff and money. Once again, you are a massive n00b to RO, otherwise you would know that Gravity got hacked like 3 month ago, and if you tried to log in, you would get hacked ingame the next day, losing EVERYTHING!
PE, well, I quit that so I would not know if the servers are down or not, but I hope the are down for good, so that the company will stop cleaning out the acounts of the poor inocent souls of those that decided to \"give that game a go\" And as for the new ideas, well Mindwhatever is only think of how to clean your bank acount more efficently. What is next, will the next update feature an option of \"Throw your money at MindArk for a chance to win this chewed up pencil!\"
And next time, if you want respect, try and act more maturly, and don\'t post retarded stuff that is just going to get everyone pissed at you!
-
OMG n00b loll1!!111!
I was surprised that your post didn\'t start off like that, but that\'s beside the point. The point is you\'re right. I was a newbie when I played Ragnarok, I don\'t know ANY of the areas you talked about in your post. From my experiences as a newb though, I found Ragnarok to be an incredibly enjoyable game. Unlike most hardcore MMORPG players, I don\'t judge a game on trivial matters such as how complex the crafting is, or if bots cause the game to lag. I find joy in the simple beauty of the environments, the interaction with other players, and just having fun with my friends.
But on to other matters.
You may not have wanted to attack me directly in your previous post, but guess what? You f-ing DID! You were talking about how all the games I mentioned were shit! That\'s basically saying that MY opinion, MY BELIEF was wrong. GUESS WHAT A--HOLE?! IT\'S MY F-ING OPINION! NOT YOURS, MINE!! I DON\'T GIVE A DAMN IF YOUR OPINION CONFLICTS WITH MINE, CUZ ITS YOUR G-D OPINION!
::takes a second to cool down::
I don\'t get upset if someone says a game that I like is crap. I couldn\'t care less. I\'m a very opinionated person though, so if someone doesn\'t treat MY opinion with some respect or dignity, I tend to get a wee bit pissed off, and dammit, I have the right to. If you would\'ve said something like \"That\'s cool, but I didn\'t like that game because of...\" I would\'ve been fine with that. You know why? Because that\'s treating my opinion with respect, maturity and intelligence. It\'s unfortunate that you chose to take the direct opposite approach, this may be your nature, to pretend that your opinion counts more than the next person\'s. If this is the case, we will never get along well because I cannot stand people like that.
People like me don\'t hang around long eh? Well if you don\'t like the way I operate, TS! This is HOW I am, and this is HOW I\'m gonna be! If people from these forums don\'t like me, I\'ll just have to deal with that. I\'m interested in playing Planeshift, and NOBODY can stop me from learning more about it.
In relation to the end of your post, I think I acted with a helluva a lot more maturity then you did, Christ I even APOLOGIZED, TWICE, before you answered, so BACK THE F OFF ABOUT THAT!
Just to PROVE that I\'m more mature than you, I\'m willing to let bygones be bygones. If you\'re willing, we can put this WHOLE thing behind us. All you have to do is accept. No more pathetic insults, no more debate regarding horrible spelling, grammar, capitalization, etc. (which you\'re latest post regarding this topic was chalk full of I might add) and no more debate on who was more mature.
I await your, hopefully, mature and well thought out reply.
~Vyse out.
PS: Please note that I only said I played Ragnarok for about a month. In fact I\'ve been playing Runescape for a good two years. So I know what I\'m talking about when it comes to that game. BTW, at first I thought you could be my equal intellectually, but after that last post I now only see you as a total a-hole with the mind of an immature six year old.

just because some people disagree with your opinions in a harsher way than your perfect world would be, doesnt mean their looking to piss you off
also you cant expect to get the last word of it, thats not mature, mature would be saying \'Whatever you think, its your opinion, now lets stop this?\" or something like that
whoops! i argued with your post! i feel so bad and immature now ;(
-
Like I said, if people don\'t like me, I have to deal with it. I don\'t want the last word in this, I\'m just saying that I\'m through wasting my time trying teach this loser to show some damned respect.
\"Well calling him a loser isn\'t showing much respect,\" some people may whine.
Very true, but I have no respect for people who do not treat others with dignity.
In this matter, I believe I\'m right. I DON\'T CARE what others think because it\'s my opinion.
If I get banned for swearing so be it. But that would just prove how primitive people still are today, censoring mere words for they have been declared by some to be \"bad.\" Anyway, like they say, rules are made to broken.
Kiern, you, much like Alucard, once had my respect, but have lost it by trying to demean me through a pathetic exuse for a post. I know you probably don\'t care, but ya know, it\'s just for your own info.
If I knew that so many people would be so immature about me actually liking a game that they declare to be crap, I probably wouldn\'t have even said anything. For shame to the people who said such things, it just lowers my already record low faith in humanity. After this post, don\'t expect me to reply, I tire of this drivel. Don\'t get me wrong, I\'ll post about other things and read any further replies, but seriously, I think we all have better things to do with our time.
-
Actually, im at work, so i have nothing more to do than waste my time :P
as for my \"pathetic excuse for a post\" where can you prove anything i said was pathetic? I dont really care how many times you yell things your not supposed to, or how many rules you break.....all i said was that just because you put that doesnt mean they are not going to overlook it, i dont see whats wrong with that? care to tell me? oh, wait, your not going to reply, so i just wasted my time.....too bad, i still have 3 hours more to waste, and your not helping me :P
-
Ah, well, guess what, you are not the only opininated person on these boards, AND YOU are most definatly NOT the only one with an opinion. Thus, I was simply fraising out my opinions about those games, when you lashed out on me. IF, and only IF, you read over the post i made, i did not make fun of anything about you, and if you take offence at what others think about games, and if those opinions do not correlate with yours, you need to step out of the \"cave\"!
But you end up insulting EVERYONE who posted, either basing your rationality on their spelling, or simply the fact that they did not say what you wanted to hear.
So, stop posting as you have so kindly threatened us, see if a little part of me dies!

On topic post:
I used to play(and still do):
Runescape
Age of Empires II
Tibia
and a few other games.
Yes, go to http://www.mpogd.com. Search for free games there, you\'ll get some good responses.
Off topic post about Runescape and Tibia:
Both games are free, but you can get a better account if you pay. Your previous account will be updated into a member if you pay, although you don\'t have to pay to play. In Runescape, becoming a member means more quests, more weapons, more areas to explore, yadda yadda yadda. In Tibia, you can own a house!(Although you have to pay a monthly payment in Tibia coins)You also get more of this and more of that.
Runescape now has an option called \'Report Abuse.\' It\'s in the free servers, and it takes screenshots of what happened in the last 60 seconds. Basically, it builds a better community with less insults and scammers. I think by it being there, people stop insulting and scamming for fear of being banned. Also, overusing it will get you banned, too.
Runescape also has a newbie island, where you learn how to do stuff.
I\'m too lazy to read all the above posts, anyways, so I won\'t be arguing, just clearing things up a bit. And keeping to the topic, even though I\'m not exactly doing that.

What the hell are you doing posting on-topic Wormtail? There is a proper place for that nonsense over on the on-topic board ;)

Well, like Alucard said, my character on RS did get stolen and I have never used cheat programs, given my password to a soul, or even written it down for that matter. Fortunately I did get her back, and I still pop back there now and again - I go back? Heh maybe I am an idiot or a masochist at least :D ;)
Following wormtail\'s fine example:
I mostly play Neverwinter Nights at the moment ;)
