Title: Lights in the dead ppl place u *******
Post by: somak on July 31, 2005, 11:22:33 pm: Dang it we need lights in the place u go when u die. i mean cmon. its bad enough i cant see out in ps world but in the place of the dead ppl. i get up the stairs and half way around the curved edge and i cant see the freaken stairs. i try clicking on me to know where stairs are because they cut in the stairs that red recticle but even then i cant click me cause i dont know where i am. this pisses me off. So plz if u can only do one change to the game before u die do this. PUT SOME FREAKING LIGHTS NEAR THE FREAKING STAIRS SO I CAN SEE WHERE THE HELL I AM GOING. thx

you dont need to use caps, it is extremely rude. Also you \"y\" and \"o\" aren\'t so inbearable that you can\'t write \"you\". Such language might be fitting in Instant Messengers/IRC-channels, but surely not into a forum. And all in all you should be a bit more polite (\"You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar\"...)

About that problem ...

Ever tried to turn right and climb those ladders?

Post by: Darkhack on August 01, 2005, 01:37:31 am: A lot of the ATI Rage card\'s have this problem and even the latest drivers don\'t solve it, so I guess your stuck turning up the brightness/gamma.

If you have a different card however, then try updating those drivers.

Basically, I just reccomend using the un-official drivers at www.omegadrivers.net (http://www.omegadrivers.net), because the official ones mess things up.

However, other people on other cards have had this problem as well. Run the updater, first of all. Then search around the forums. If you have a MAC, supposedly the fix for that is in the MAC forum.

Post by: Drey on August 01, 2005, 09:06:27 am: just use the --nolightmapping thing to make the game brighter. if you use windows just add -nolightmapping to the target thing. find the target thing by right clicking the icon and then chosing properties.

Open your communications window and type /unstick then enter. It should take you back to a safe spot.

If ya can see a bridge, go accross it then turn left after the tunnel. Hopefully that\'ll help.

P.S. Go slowly up the hill after the tunnel.
