I was disappointed when I went to the magic shop and discovered that there are still only a few spells. I watched the updater update new spells that looked good (at least by the names) and saw the ones in the folder. Why can\'t you guys implement it so magic is a little more Balanced?
If it is because you haven\'t finished testing them, why don\'t you? We need more spells to balance out the magic vs. force. It will also make the game more fun. I talked with a couple of people in-game today and found that they have the same views. It is such a basic and important thing that I don\'t know why you devs haven\'t implemented more spells.
sorry if it seems mean, I really don\'t try to be.

Ever try other shops to see if they sell new glyphs? :P

Has anyone tried combos yet?.... No?... then wait till you can to complain. Besides, last I heard they were still buggy, so I don\'t know if they\'ve been made public yet, or not.

Are you saying that there are new merchants which happen to sell glyphs from experience, or are you just saying it\'s a possiblity?

The magicshop doesn\'t sell spells. It sells glyphs. You can combine glyphs into multiple ways to get different spells.

So are you saying they are implemented already?

They should be yes. If they are working is another question which I can\'t answer.

ok thx. seeing how i just started...again and have not money, i can\'t really buy a glyph let alone 2 or 3 to combo. But when I asked in-game people said no more were added and whoever was on the help chat at that time led me to believe the same.

Something I am a bit surprised by are the controls. Ever since CB, they seem to have degraded with each major update. I am aware that the new movement system required a rewrite, but I wonder why such obvious things like running weren\'t noticed and fixed before the release.
Not to mention that the Free Rotation camera mode has become unusable by the mouse look not accepting a mouse button as key, and the one in the mouse options having no effect.
Oh, well...

We re-wrote the entire character control system. So there are a few bugs in there. They will get fixed.

Set the mouse look key to caps lock. That solves the problem.

Why did you do that exactly?

ALRIGHT!!! BACK ON TOPIC
I tried several combinations and came to the conclusion (with the help of whoever was on the help chat) that there still are only 6 spells :(
So either you are lieing or forgot to implement the combos :(

They are there, but more glyphs need to be given to NPC\'s, and you need to be quite skilled just to cast a spell which uses a combo of glyphs.

I think Xordan means that the NPCs don\'t have all glyphs for sale yet, unless he means we have to give our glyphs away...So confusing those of the Cabal. :P

The new system will most likely have some advantages over the old one. Probably the old one couldn\'t be used for the implementation of free movement required for swimming / flight.
However, the bugs are so severe that they even hinder roleplay, and this says a lot. Also, there is no way they could have been missed in pre-release testing. Frankly, the update should not have been released yet. There is no point in letting something go to the open beta testing when there are severe but obvious bugs left.
I must admit that this update has made PS a lot less enjoyable for me. :(
