Title: Game crashed while playing

This happened a few times already: I\'m mining near the magic shop when suddenly the game is minimalised (not sure if this is the right word) for a second and then maximalised again, but then I only see a black screen and the mousecursor. When I quit the game with Alt + F4, I get an errormessage. Is this normal?

Does it happen ONLY near the magic shop?  Also, I assume your using windows.  Do you get any message that asks you to \"end task\" or anything like that or does it just minimize and maximize again?

You could try disabling sound.  It\'s pretty buggy and is known to cause crashes in several locations.

I do use Windows XP, but I don\'t get a message, only when I quit the game; and I have to chose if I want to save a diagnostic file. Last crash was in the sewers

And the bug your talking about isn\'t caused by the sound I think, the sound bug was fixed in the latest release, at least to my experience.

Well, the sound bug has improved quite drastically so that it crashes far less often.  However in certain locations, like the tavern (for me anyway) the game crashes.
