Just a thought before the next great wipe (tm) could we have a massive, humungous, positively Ulbernaut sized Search button?
In bright red with flashing luminous green spots sayin click here NOW! :)
-
Brilliant idea!!!...
But I am not even sure that it will work! It is a question of behavior : some like to search, some don t. It is exactly like some can think and some can t. =p
It still worth the try!

Sadly, I still don\'t think that will help those who are opposed to working to find an answer.

agreed, no matter how big or flashy the button will be some wont even bother with it.

If we make some minor modifications to the board software, we can eliminate this problem. I have created a little
demonstration (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/Seytra/Planeshift/PS-search.png) for my concept.

Excellent all that could be added is a symlink from the post thread button so no one will escape the all conquering search mwwwhahahah.
*Sorry got a bit carried away, must keep taking the pills

The only way to inforce the Search button is to disguise it...

Edit: Changed the image to a cropped one to avoid massive amounts of white space.

Haha yes, the classic don\'t click here link.. :D Always works rofl
Dut somehow I think people would complain that they can\'t find the search..
-
Why not deleat the forums so no one will ever have to search again!
-
I\'m telling you guys, the solution to the lazy-people-not-searching problem is that until you reach 50 posts (example, pick a different number, if you will), whenever you make a new thread, you have to go through a page that says \"Did you search (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/search.php?boardid=10) first?\" which stays there for 10 seconds or so before going to the thread creation page. Most of the newbies will probably be way too lazy to actually wait the 10 seconds and so they\'ll click the link. Hopefully by 50 (or whatever number) posts, they\'ll have learned to search by instinct.
