Title: Mac OS X crash on launch
Post by: Mispeled on August 18, 2005, 04:14:58 am
This happened on August 17th around 10 PM.

I\'m running Mac OS 10.3.9 on a 1.8 ghz G5 iMac, 1024 MB of RAM, video card is a GeForce FX 5200 (64 MB of VRAM).  The title bar says I\'m running 0.3.011, although the crash report says otherwise.

Whenever I launch the client, I just get an empty screen for a few seconds and then a generic \"the application psclient has expectedly quit\" error message.

Before I actually installed the update (I had just downloaded it), it launched fine with the main menu.

Here\'s the beginning of the crash report:

Date/Time:      2005-08-17 22:08:47 -0400
OS Version:     10.3.9 (Build 7W98)
Report Version: 2

Command: psclient
Path:    /Games/Planeshift 3D/psclient.app/Contents/MacOS/psclient
Version: 0.3.007 (0)
PID:     29706
Thread:  0

Exception:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes:      KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x07449000

Mispeled, you need to go the MacOS part of the forums, you\'ll find everything you need to know there.

Some MacOS players are currently \'playing\', some are not! :)

You will probably be asked to obtain a \"console log\" by ChaOs or dFryer, found out what you need to do this (its easy) and look at the \"READ THIS BEFORE POSTING\" thread.

Good Luck. :)
