Hi there,
I will put my rendered weapons here
(http://www.getaportal.com/portals/ix-search/Rendered_MK_004.jpg)

I like it. It has a simplified kind of look that gives it a nice style. The oak (or whatever wood that is :P) finish on the handle definately gives it a little charm, and the axe blade looks realistic. It isn\'t over glorified or outrageous like many people do with Fantasy axes. Very cool, looking foward to seeing more. 8)

thx, I think i need more training to make more realistic texture. I want to succeed to make textures like those of Lineage II
If somebody makes weapons blueprints, I want them !!
-
nice work
drop the polygons to about 100 - 200 and you could catch yourself a nive 3d WTB membership
unlike me ;(

luvverly, now make a dozen or so unique ones, host them on a image site for viewing, apply to 3d team linking said site, prey a little to get noticed and ask for a task to contribute \\o/

Oooh! That one has got to be my favorite. Very nice design :) Thumbs up!
-
Very nice! Keep up the great work.
-
Nice work but I feel like that axe is lacking a handle...
-
thx all, Efflixi Aduro you\'re right, in all cases, the axe texture is not ended : the wood isn\'t in the good direction, the blade texture not realistic...
I work to make the blades more realistic, but it\'s hard...

Mmmm.. <3 the hammer :P
I second Demarthl!! :D
-
yeah, the hammer looks cool.
(do you have ninja gaiden? ;))

The texture on your axe is meh. It\'s a good base layer, now you just need some more detailed layers above it. Check out some of Ben Mathis\' (he\'s my hero) tutorials on http://www.poopinmymouth.com. Specifically, take a look at his texturing tutorial and his jpg (http://www.poopinmymouth.com/process/tips/dirt.jpg) on dirtying up textures. I wouldn\'t mind seeing some sort of nice looking wrap thrown on there. And if that is indeed wood then the grain would be going the other way (end to end) or it would break too easily. Also, it looks like the uv toward the base is stretched a little (look at the stretched rivet head on the closest face of the base).
Now the hammer... The texture is marginally better, could use more dirt. Try making the edges that are supposed to be edges (ie not the edges of the grip) a little lighter and beat up/worn (again referencing Mr. Mathis\' stuff). If I were you I would turn the handle 45 degrees and make it slightly smaller so that it communicates better as round rather than a square. Some of the grip uv coords could stand being mirrored because if you look at it the wrap goes up the handle, then back down. Normally it would spiral all the way up.
Decent overall. Keep at it.

well, in that game almost exactly the same hammer is used as a weapon.
i thought i used it as a reference.
your work still looks great

a 5 instead of 4 polygon handle will give it a huge lift in \"roundness\"
