Well I\'ve tried to run the setup several times, but so far to no avail.

That\'s the error message I came up with.
Also, I downloaded my file from the first mirror, because the bit torrent one (for whatever reason) wouldn\'t start dowloading at all. It was stuck at 0% for like, an hour.
Help me out, please.

It seems like indeed it\'s a corrupted download, try planeshift.xpam.de for \"safe\" mirrors.

Okay, I\'m re-downloading now.
Looks like I have to wait 3+ hours, however. Last one only took me 40 minutes.
Thanks for your help and I\'ll get back to you as soon as this finishes.

Okay, well... I went afk for several hours and when I got back, the game was done downloading.
Relieved that I finally managed to set it up, I ran into another snag. Go figure.
When I try to run the updater the window gets all blurry and stuff. I waited about half an hour for something -- anything -- to change, but nothing did. I then proceeded to try and run the game itself, but of course I got another error.

Right now I\'m going to leave the updater for an hour or so, to see if it works. If not I\'ll edit this post and take a screen of the blurry updater window.

Yep, the installer still has that in it...

Well, leaving the computer idle for an hour seems to have worked.
EDIT: Great. I got the character done and created just fine, but about 2/3 of the way into downloading the world I got this error message:

EDIT2: I found the page that shows about errors. It says I have to disable sound. This may seem like a newbish question, but... how can I go about doing this?
NEVERMIND, PROBLEM SOLVED.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE.
