Title: (Ubuntu) Networking Problems
Post by: Shadowfalcon on September 05, 2005, 08:18:18 pm
Hello again everyone. I want to run PS on Ubuntu Linux, but I am unable to get my wireless card to work. It shows up in the device manager, but not in the network settings. It is a Broadcom 802.11g Wierless. I\'m a total Linux noob, so I\'m out of ideas. Please help!

click on the systems menu at the top of your screen, then go to administration, and click on networking.  Please post back here telling what devices are listed there - i.e eth0, sit0, eth1 anything like that.

Wireless broadcoms are not supported natively in linux. You\'ll have to use ndiswrapper.

Sorry I can\'t be more helpful, as I don\'t have a wireless network.

However as a fellow Ubuntu user I can reccomend the Ubuntu Forums they are really helpful.
