Title: game wont start

I have downloaded and installed the game and i have also updated it.

When double click the game a dos box pops up and says

SFC_Warning: factory retured a null instence for crystalspace.kernal.vfs if error messages are not self explanetory recompile Cs with CS_debug.
WARNING: could not load VFS plugin crystalspace.kernal.vfs
ERROR: Csinitializer::setupconfigManager failed

IS your crystal inviroment variable set
Exiting Planetshift Press enter.

I then tried to go into Planet shift setup and nothing happens at all.

any help with this problem would be appreciated!

Hm, seems this is a bigger problem... seems this file isn\'t right for a lot of people.

http://www.planeshift.it/download/temp/vfs.dll

Replace the one you have in your PlaneShift folder with it, and run the updater again.

ecause nothing happenes when u go into it

ive doownloaded that file and now im still trying to update it.

IT goes way to slow and has paused like 3 times.

This updater is really anoying me!!

i haev done all this on my laptop which is on a wireless internet conection. Im will try and install and update it on my pc .

i was going to start my own thread but o well i have a similar problem! i start the game and i keep seeing the damn loading screen. and i wait...... and wait..... until i decide f this im gnna go outside and play rugby.. wtf is goign on it was perfectly fine for like 2 months and then all of the sudden after i update and download that stupid updater text it doesnt work anymore WTF. i seriously do not want to reinstall it and re update it its so slow like 4 kbps pathetic any help would be appreciated thx.

you are in my guild just to let you know, um i am might not sure bt i just crash quite alot that is my problem but yeh hope it is just a server problem

it wasnt the loading screen into the world it was the loading screen into the game in genereal wtf is going on ARGH@!

im updating and it says overall 47% completed and then its liked paused and going at 1kb a scecong im temted to throw my pc out the window if it is paused because its taken like 4 hours.

This updater is stuffed ive got half way and it stopped and i dont lnow if i should quit and start again. But ive been waiting for hours to update and dont want to start again.

1) Don\'t double post; use the edit button.
2) Calm yourself...
3) The server has issues as of late.  Learn some patience.

I have now installed it onto my pc and the update works. I can now play. Thanks for all help
