Trademark. PlaneShift\'s definition of \"soon\" differs from the norm.

you \'reckon\' eh?

well, go find a skilled 3d artist with the knowledge to create, uv map, texture, add skeletons animations and convert through crystal space to planeshift format, IN SPARE TIME FOR FREE.

:|

*cough* carried away :)

If it\'s any consolation I\'m trying to learn this stuff >.>

thats true what you say, though they could just change a little in that elf and make her a female so it would save a bit of time

Hi.

Hmm, we could modify the existing character models to fill in the missing races/genders. However, since the final models for those will most likely be created from a scratch, one could consider it excess work. Also in some cases it may be easier to start from the beginning.

In short, new models will come when they\'re ready and working.

PS. May I point out that this is actually the Newbie help section. For the game requests, please check the Wish list. :)

3d design, eh? Ohhh yeah. 3dsMax and MAYA are my specialties. Now getting it through the Engine may be something new, but I?ve worked with the Unreal Engine, Glass Deluxe Engine, and Morph? so it shouldn?t be too far from those. I guess I should speak to an admin if anyone is interested in my services.

I love sticking around with games from the beginning because, well in all honesty, it?s easier to manipulate. It?s easier to help form the path which such an entertaining mmorpg should follow. Besides, Role-playing is awesome if enough people are working for it. Hack and Slash is to clich?? always becomes boring after awhile, but the innovation of the human mind, ah yes, that indeed shall never tire one who enjoys a story well told.

If you think you can contribute, you should definitely check out the \"Help Us\" section of the mainsite (http://www.planeshift.it).
In summary, you need to submit with your application examples of your previous work (or work done for PS if you already have something done), but know that it may take some time for them to sift through the applications. You can also check the IRC channel for devs to talk to in person.
