Read \"Rumo\"?

Reminds me of the sword/knife Rumo has ...

Do you have the dimensions of the sword?

I like the model very much except for one minor issue (besides the fact that it would be impossible to construct :P).  I think the guard and handle are a bit thin.  The handle should be completely round, not oval or (in this case) popsicle stick shaped.  Giving the guard some more beef would be nice too.  It looks like it would snap under a decent blow right now.  Everything else looks pretty good imho, nice work.

actually the blade can be constructed i personly have seen meny a sword with that style blade and they hold up rather well in battle ready high carbon steel....

and if you have actually head a real sword in your hand you\'ll notice that the handle is in fact ovel and not round to better acomadate your hand and or hands... i get have you mean by making the helt thicker after i got the picture all done and ready i thought it looked kind of funny till a guild mate pointed that same fact out to me...

Ahh hehe.. looks great!! Isn\'t that called a sword-breaker? I think so.

And yes hilts are almost always oval. Samurai swords too :D We actually have a samurai sword in our house..

Shouldn\'t the greenish ball thingy (don\'t know how it\'s called in english) be a bit bigger? I mean because of the balancing issues...

I think it looks much better, except that it no longer looks like a hand and a half.

you have changed the thickness of the hilt which is good, it is lokking pretty good now, you could decide to have some leather straps around your hilt and you could (it already looks good) make the gem at the bottom alittle bright greener (if you want to make an emerald) but it is a good sword especially for a first try

Wow, that is awesome, I really like that style of blade!, I am working on a similar shaped blade in Illustrator, just haven\'t had time to finish. Too much study and AA!

it looks really cool. maybe you could widen the handle and guard a bit though.  they look a  bit flimsy.   oh and how  many polyygons ?
oh you have ok. nice work.  now you need to lengthen the handle a slight bit becuase it now seems a bit too small and  pushed in.   little bit of legthening and that would be one hell of a first try.

the poly count on it is 4.....
the blade
the hillt
the handel
the pummel

i\'ll make the handel a bit longer and  i might try and make the blade look like damaskin steel for the people that don\'t know what that is.... its high carbon steel that looks like it has a wood grain in it the colors are a steel grey blue with a black grain...

oh and darkw00t its not a gem at the bottom it is a gold pummel the same matireal as the hillt

i like a long hilt, pummel and gem, sry i meant the same thing iot is just that a lot of famous renowned swords have gems on the bottom as te pummel, it is a good sword though

yeah the gem thing sounds cool but this is but a frist try remember... i\'ll make other models with gems and knot work and engraving and other things but for now i\'m keeping it simple
