being bored and reading threads i thought of an idea and im sorry if this has been discussed before but i would like to see random monster invasions maybe a rat invasion from the sewers or a......rogue raid from the forest something like that to keep the game interesting and not as repetative and if the lower players cant handle it they can run and hide behind bigger ones but ps being set in a dangerous location i dont think its very realistic to have such perfectly safe places especially since some of your life story stuff talks about an invasion

That is really funny actually... that this ends up in the wishlist... not ironic but humorful... because of one Mr. Drey... this idea has been spread and thought of... but of course we would not use his instance of it... but yes i would like to see this... and i was going to post something about it in his Dectruction thread but it was too old and i didnt want to get yelled at for reviving old threads... anywho i think the link is in his sig...

i thought something similar. though mostly because i have a bit of an evil streak in me.
but i would prefer a rat invasion. perhaps of those vigorous one-eyed rats that i heard of so long ago. anything more than that and the beginners would rendered to spam.

Dynamic spawn and a AI-like for monsters is not a new idea...

that would be a pretty good idea.. except maybe an escort the queen or protect the king etc.

Eh... there is no queen or king :P And it will be a while before any story involving the Octarchs and their government will be feasible...

i dont think it should be much of a quest as much as a random thing. something like walking around and you just see 20 rats running out of the sewers followed by a dozen gobbles and 5 or so tefusangs and see how everyone reacts and if anything just jump on a roof and hope they dont find you =]

and just wait until bows are implemented... then we could set up ambushes to the oncoming rampages of monsters.

I think ever week their should be some kind of invasion just to keep people playing (the boredom is to much to take)

Boredom..? No idea what you\'re talking about ;) But a weekly invasion will kind of lose its most important elements, don\'t you think? Surprise and anticipation? People keep playing whether there are invasions or not - there are plenty of other things to do, plenty of adventures to experience, as is. They just take some organization (even if they are to be spontaneous) and will.

Ok what if there could be a invasion at any time imagine all of a sudden the consumers come down and attack people that would be fun right?

I think invasions are good. Perhaps not in the city main, but over key resources and persons. Perhaps the sewers were taken over by extremely agressive thugs or gobbles, or the arena by the ghosts of all the dead gladiators and rogues, or perhaps harniquist was being held hostage somewhere. Still, it\'s too NPCish....

Hostage Harnquist! I love that ;) Imagine a grand quest by various players to get back the beloved smith from the clutches of Ulbernauts. That\'s drama :P

Ulbernauts are intelligent? I was thinking more along the lines of the red guy in the valley where Brigand used to be in oja road. To get harniquist back, you have to kill the red guy and maybe a bunch of thugs/rogues/bandits that spawn ONCE then don\'t come back after they\'re killed. Or perhaps you have to kill them all before the respawn such that they have to be all dead at the same time for the quest to click into place.

Perhaps when NPCs gain a greater mobility, useful NPC trainers or merchants would be kidnapped for various one-time quests and be tracked by players, as the kidnappers travel through the wild hills in guarded packs :)
Ah man... anything with actual hunting would be so awesome.

Maybe if some npc got kidnapped and we had to bring anything the kidnappers asked in a set amout of time would that be much fun ?(
