I live in australia and as you probably know the internet here is probably the slowest in the world. I have a 512k connection and the updater........ OMG how long does it want to take i mean SERIOUSLY its updating the updater now at a speed of 3kb/second xD kinda funny how slow it is going thats dialup speed..... can anyone give me a rough estimate on how long the update will take on a 512k connection.......all u americans with ur 20mb connections im jealous.

Sadly, this has nothing to do with what kind of internet connection you have lately :) The update server is just... raagh. There have been issues lately, so it moves at a snail\'s pace for everyone. Best to leave the updater alone for a few hours and let it do its thing, while you do something else. Read a book. Read the Player Guide (http://www.planeshift.it/guide/en/index.html). Read some forum stickies :D

omg i dont know wat i did but it wasnt good it wont even start up the updater after taking your advice and trying the diffrent updtaer server

No need to quote your entire previous posts, and no need to double-post. Simply edit your previous post to add new info. Have you followed the instructions offered at http://psmirror.u24.solone.net/ (http://psmirror.u24.solone.net/) as closely as possible? Have you edited only the line specified? What exactly happens when you try to run the updater now, does it shut down immediately, or won\'t even load, etc.? The more details, the better.

I\'ve uploaded my copy of the updaterconfig.xml file to yousendit.com - you can download it through this link (http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=10WSRZAONLS273MOUL32HTZM1L). The updater works flawlessly here, so if you replace your copy with this one and you still have problems, the issue must be something else.

i am in australia... and with my way slower computer i downloaded that big update in under 20 minutes with the help of that mirror... while my faster one took lik3 2-3hours without the mirror..
