Title: Vodul, anyone?

In the IRC chat, the topic of Vodul came up.

Is Vodul in the spoken tradition of the planeshift world?  \"He\" is mentioned in the history, so are people aware of him?  If so, in what ways?

you already know my opinion nut ill state it for everyone else.

if i Recall, from what the history on the main site tells, no one actually knows of Vodul, other then Laanx and Talad themselves, he is the God of the world, or univers section or something, but he doesnt get involved in Yliakum, other then granting Talad and Laanx their wish to create races, take talad as a servant and Laanx as a lover, I don\'t recall the settings describing at anypoint that any of the sentient races knowing of Vodul, they only seem to know of Talad, Laanx Black flame, Atheism..... or magic mugs :)

I consider the writen history to be the oral tradition of the people in planeshift.  That gives room for some characters to dismiss it as mythology, while others can embellish it or heed it at face value.

Yes... the question is, how is Vodul seen by the people within the planeshift world?  Is he recognized, known, worshipped?

You can\'t possibly tell whether people know Vodul or not, judging just by the history.
I don\'t recall the history stating that anyone follows the Blackflame religion, that anyone is an atheist... That there\'s someone like beast lord Karkath...
It\'s simply too short and the vast majority of facts weren\'t placed in there...

And why not just ask Darkmoon?

I thought vodul was just Joses other name  ;)
