Title: Who turned off the lights?

Um... well, I joined up to the game, spent a while reading through the entire guide, but it didn\'t really explain what I should do... I managed to find a rogue, attacked it and died ;( ... then I re-appeared in another place (presumably the death area mentioned in the guide). After this, I went up some steps and through a door, then suddenly my character seemed to be falling... now everything is just a black screen... I can\'t see anything, and I have no idea what to do. I have tried shouting for help, but it says my character needs to have been ingame for an hour or longer...

Help please :\\ ...

You have found yourself in the poorly designed death realm.  Usually, you would have fallen and died, but fall damage is conveniently turned off, so now you\'re stuck forever at the bottom of the map with no way to get back up.

Brilliant, isn\'t it?

Oh, except that there\'s a cheat.  It\'s the only way to get out of that situation, and soon it will no longer be in the game.  Open your shortcuts menu.  Click on the \"unstick\" shortcut twice in a row, quickly.  You may have to do this more than once, but eventually it will warp you back to the spawn point in the death realm.

Alternatively, you can unstick by typing /unstick in the chat window.  Repeat the last command by pressing the up arrow.

Yes, where you have ended up is the Death Realm. If you see everything pitch black try to raise a little the brightness of your screen. That will make things much better.

Fall damage - that is the death you might encounter when you fall from some place - has been \"unfortunately\" and unvoluntarily turned off. It will be probably appeared fixed soon.

About /unstick, probably when the fall damage will be restored it will not be so useful to use it, but it shouldn\'t be necessary if the maps would not have \"trouble\" situations. Therefore for the moment it is there wherever you might get stuck somewhere.

Once in the Death Realm again, you have to find your way out :-)

Funnily enough I am just starting out and this exact same thing happened to me.  But strangely there was a monster kinda stuck in the wall, and I was able to attack him and let him kill me.

Don\'t know if its normally there though.

It is possible to get out of the dark without \"cheating\" - you have just to be killed once more ;)

Yes - you can be killed in the death realm. But only if you /challenge another player and he accepts that you want a duel.

This is the first game ever, where i was happy to be killed by another player!
