Apparently, us NVidia 1.3 kiddies can\'t play Planeshift...
Are there any users who have had any luck? If so, what did you do??

I am also using an Nvidia card.. not sure if this is your problem.. or if the PS Dev endorse my solution..
i have found that some of the 2D backgrounds crash PS on my comp..
what I did to solve my solution was to change the file name of the .PNG images for the Backgrounds(used Zipit to find and change the names in art/skins/default.zip)
this causes the game not to find them.. therefore not loading them.. resulting in stability..
though, the game is more stable it is hard to find some buttons that are graphics dependent...

Yes, a similar work-around has been mentioned (though they accomplished it in a different fashion). Dfryer, the Mac build master, seems to be away, so we have been unable to get any further on the fix. Hopefully he will be back soon. I will try to work on the fix, but I\'m not as knowledgeable as he, so it may take a while. Thank you for your patience!

Hm, if it\'s caused by some of the background/skins, the problem might be bad texture sizes, or bad texture sizes without the appropriate flag. Thanks for this information.

The creators of Planeshift say that anyone with NVIDIA 1.3.30 drivers won\'t be able to play Planeshift at all.
I can\'t see anything about textures in the log files...

Sorry, I\'m not sure what statements you\'re referring to, and the correspondance between Nvidia driver releases and (usually locked-down) Apple driver updates. I was referring to the fix for the problem that Gypsum01 referred to.
